The fact that the translation stopped out of the blue really frustrates me, but it was to be expected. Anyway, I really wanted to thank the whole team Amaterasu for their work. This is a really nice translation of a really nice Visual Novel. Damn, I get the feeling that I should have waited for the full game.

Japanese is a bad language and it is not a good idea to learn it.

It's like those really old and broken down cars. You should have just killed the thing decades ago, but you keep strapping new shit onto it just so it will keep on moving. Japanese is archaic and fundamentally flawed, it becomes fairly obvious that something has gone terrible when you get to the point that you have 2,000+ ridiculously complex looking characters and you have to memorize a good portion of those to be considered literate.

Just throw the whole primitive pictograph nonsense out the window and use the latin alphabet like the rest of the civilized world.

Translators only translate the shittiest VNs. No genre diversity whatsoever. It would be like if you were a foreigner and relied on people to fan translate English shows so that you could watch them, but they selectively chose only the most melodramatic ones available.

The only understanding you would have of English television shows would be dozens of episodes of Grey's Anatomy. You would have no idea what else is out there because you just waited for the fan translators to serve you up another bowl of shit.

I remember when first started reading visual novels and I would see those recommended lists pop up. I had no idea at the time, but every single one was a nakige. It starts off all happy and cheerful, I was feeling great and really enjoying it, then out of no where the depression hits me like a truck and it's just a spiral of suffering from there. I would come stumbling away from that horrible experience and just assume that I picked a bad title off the list only to have the same exact thing happen all over again.

Truth be told, having. Rance6 translated and released before the previous installments would be disasterous.

It sort of, sort of worked for Sengoku due to its structure and gameplay. Rance6's dungeon crawling first person perspective is alot more reliant on all the references of the previous installments.

All I could find on my comp were these http://www.mediafire.com/?zcwgczyzpwsa0fr the videos translated and already converted to pmf. They don't play back properly on my computer though in that format, so I have no idea if they work properly in game or have audio. Am I the only one who's hyped for this game? If I recall correctly, in an interview Takumi Nakazawa (infinity series, I/O) stated that it's one of his major influences, so I wonder what it's like. Chunsoft in general appears to be quite good VN-wise. 428 made some waves when it was released and Machi is apparently a classic.

I just hope the games will run on Ouya, as I don't have any tablet or smartphone.
