Sometimes for the hell of it, and oftenly because of Japanese unlike English ends their sentences in auxilary verbs which makes some things hard to express in Japanese without it sounding unnatural or grammatically incorrect.(mostly jap hiphop though)

We know they do it to sound cool, but nobody has mentioning why their choice is English, not, for example, Portuguese.

It's America's "effortless cultural imperialism": with how widespread media is now, and how people tend to unconsciously imitate those in power or perceived to be in power, American cultural influences are affecting all advanced civilizations hard. Here in Finland young people use tons of English and even Ebonics in their colloquial speech.

Sure, but the point was that practically NOBODY uses Portuguese or Russian or a comparable language to look cool, while in the case of English it is well-entrenched.

The amount of pop culture America produces explains part of it, but aside from that people in other advanced civilizations still choose to use English instead of their own language a lot in situations where there's no overt reason to do so.

Same reason ABBA used Italian "Mamma mia" and Rammstein used English, Russian, Spanish and heck knows what else.
