What were the circumstances that brought you to /jp/? What was your first impression of this place?

Depends. I would rather have veteran shitposters than Bad Apple faggots. At least one of them is trying to be ironic.

There was also the time it turned out the main posters of the Fumo threads were seasoned Touhou fans of about 6 months, yet here they were on /jp/ acting like connoisseurs of 2huland. I don't know, maybe I'm being too elitist, which is apparently not allowed on /jp/ today.

I came here to troll the shit out of you guys with an elaborate post about my Japanese girlfriend and pretended I needed to know about Japanese culture. This was back when the board was called ' 'Japan / General" or something like that.

Because most of them, after learning about touhou from bad apple/youtube in general, went ahead and at least started played the games before visiting /jp/. Yet most of you act like moments after watching any of the videos they immediately jumped into /jp/ and started shitposting. It's stupid.

Besides, I see no reason to hate someone who has a sufficient knowledge of touhou and doesn't act like an idiot, just because they learned about it after me. And no, saying "Well if they learned about it after X then they always are one of the stupid people" isn't a valid argument.

As of now he posts on /g/ anonymously but is still recognizable from his posting style and image formats.
If you don't know who miles is then it shouldn't concern you. The reason I'm so cautious about writing this is because he is very paranoid about these types of this and will easily flip out and never talk to me again.

A few years ago I used to fit in on /a/ and even /v/, but as I started to become more introverted and my opinions about life began to change to reflect that then I had trouble relating to the things that people were saying.

It's easier to relate to /jp/ and my ideas are shared by the majority of the people here so I don't have to see "i have no girlfriend ;-;" threads and wonder why they waste their time caring about dating instead of just staying inside and having fun.

I came to /jp/ because this is the only enlightened board here and one of the few places on the internet where I've found enlightened people.

I consider myself as a disciple of /jp/ though. I've come along way since I first came here, but I still have a long way to go until I have obtained the peace and contentment of a truNEET.

There's plenty of Buddhist forums on the internet, but it's filled with people who have careers, are married, and care about their social status. /jp/ doesn't care about those things. /jp/ is truly detached from the world, almost like a collection of hermits and monks.

One day, I decided I was done judging myself against social norms. I had finally stopped caring about how lonely I was or how everyone by the time they're my age had been in a relationship.

I found myself no longer providing my parents excuses when they asked me whether I plan on ever giving them grandchildren.

It was an extremely sudden transition between the plane of caring about my social status and not giving a damn, but once it was over I decided that I would celebrate by visiting a 4chan board that I previously would have avoided because of the stigma of being labeled a weaboo or otaku.

I visited /jp/, and fell in love.

I'm here since the japanese bird was in his late moments of daily threads, they stopped to appear a cuople of months later (I think) I can't remember exactly.
My first impression was:
This board talks about Touhou, they respect canon pretty well and they even have Hisoutensoku threads, I like the board jokes and the people acting like retards/being jerks (shitposters) they are easy to ignore.
I learned to ignore the shitposts to the extend that sometimes I post a serious long response in a thread filled with only shitposters without really noticing them.

It was three years ago starting on the first day of September when I browsed /jp/.
I had always been on the eccentric side when it came to Japan (Everything but the anime and perverseness), but very few people knew or still do not know this of me. I went on a date with a Korean girl and we hit it off from there, only for me to later post about how Korean and Japanese women were real models for anime character expressions and mannerisms, but this was my 3rd post I believe. Later I ended up posting my first thread here on /jp/ about
JapaneseMovieThread/MaikuHamaMovie/JapGeneral

I was really surprised to see how many original /jp/ers had responded to my thread and had taken an interest in it. Everyone made fun of my spelling and I had to explain why such mistakes were made. From then on I made more threads and posts, but every time /jp/ recognized me from my previous Disability explanation and mishaps.

I couldn't post without being recognized so I started leaving my signature at the end of posts like...
-Disability-san

After that others told me to just make it a trippname.
And there you have it.
This was my fist image post on /jp/

I got exceedingly tired of /a/ and their pretentious wankery. /jp/ was a more relaxed place in which I could be comfortable, especially during my years as a NEET and hikikomori. This board might be the only one on 4chan that actually knows how to take it easy.

It's just the Shmup Generals that are so shitty. The tripfriends and namefriends of the CUHRAYZEE Generals have always been and continue to be (since last I checked) golden individuals. Their posts are always on-topic and helpful, and they're simply good people.

>>9391783

I've never heard of RefRain or heard anyone talk about it, but the latter point certainly sounds like something he'd say.

One thing he always stands by is that posting as 'Anonymous' is sub-human. I can't remember if it was that posting as 'Anonymous' MADE you sub-human, or that only people who were sub-human would post as 'Anonymous', or something else to that effect, but yeah. He's the only poster on 4chan I'd suspect of being genuinely autistic; he acts as if (and often explicitly says, in specific cases) anyone who has a different opinion than him is fucking stupid for doing so. It's beyond the standard "my tastes > your tastes"; he believes that there is something seriously wrong with a person if he or she holds a different opinion than him. He judges everyone else's opinions and ideas solely by how well they match up with his own. It's amazing.

Okay here we go.
I have posted what my disabilities are before. I may have or may not have posted other ones than the following, but these are the ones that I will include from now on in a word document that I copy&pasta.
ADD, ADHD, OCD, Tourette syndrome, and Dyslexia, neurological malfunctions or further damage, missing an organ or two, missing several nerves in my lip, partially color blind, I cannot physically write to regular standard and am given a scribe during testing with other accommodations for work or school work, it takes me twice as long to do things that others can do, I am slow at and inefficient in reading so I am provided a reader and other reader services, and other certain medical related issues that I am not comfortable sharing with /jp/.
Please note that I am not autistic, I do not have Asperger’s syndrome, nor do I have anything that is similar to these conditions. I deal with a lot and don’t want false symptoms or untrue diagnoses to sully my name.
Thank you.

put the sign # and a password of your choice after your name. it will show as a tripcode.
basically, when you post, your name field should like that:
> Disability-san #password
and it will show like that:
> Disability-san !tripcode
that way nobody will be able to impersonate you.
it's all in the FAQ:
http://www.4chan.org/faq#trip

Depends on person to person with the definition, but I'm thinking more in line with the slice of life "Cute girls doing cute things" in various anime and dating VNs.

Yes moe is a feeling, but simplifying it in this case to things I don't like.

I prefer them shooting each other.

Far from normalfag, just not interested in the same fetishes as /jp/

>> No.9392038

This is the only board where you won't find people posting lewd pictures of 3D alongside completely unrelated posts. That kind of posting makes me cringe. Or when they say "in exchange, tits." I bet they're the same people who get mad when the accompanying image is a cute and pure 2D girl rather than a 3D one, and that makes me sick. You also won't find those guys telling you to get a life and mocking you because you need to get laid brah. Much.

Simply put, /jp/ is the place on the internet with the least normals. Other 4chan boards kid themselves by using the word "normalfag", but they can't match up.

I don't even like touhou. I save cute and lewd images made about the characters, otherwise staying out of those threads. I came here in 2009.
