I have a different take on it. Some atheists are actually on the same page as certain theists. These people make up two sides of the same coin like matter and anti-matter. I would argue that even though these two groups argue that they actually share the same religion.

In other words some atheists frame their beliefs in opposition to other's theology.

Being agnostic I reject both arguments and thus the entire "meta-religion."

Interesting thing about omnipotence is that it violates what we know about complex processes. The Church-Turing thesis basically says that we can't know how a computational process will turn out unless we actually run it (and even then you may need infinite time and resources).

So, if there was a god who created the universe the only way he'd know what I was gonna do 15 billion years later would be to actually wait 15 billion years and see.

Of course we can just give god the power to know, but that kind of thing is up there with asking if god can create a rock too heavy for himself to lift.
