I miss you oni

Hey I have a story about an Japanese Silver Oni Mask.

I went to my big local pawn shop for the first time.
There really rare things in all the display cabinets.
I searched and searched for a Lazer Disc Player and anything Japanese related.
I got upstairs and saw a vintage Japanese Sterling Silver Oni Mask used in Japanese ceremonies (It was that one kind of oni with the really big chin and long nose).
I rushed down stairs to the clerks to ask how much it was.
The two bros at the desk looked at each other and sighed and said to one another "Why does Kreg do this? It doesn't make any sense. l:{]"
The other bro looked at me saying " Hey sorry man, but, for some odd reason, when our boss buys things he likes he keeps them for himself and puts them in display cases all throughout the store"

Me: So, sooo s-so...

The First Bro: Sorry Bro, none of the things are for sale and are meant to be our bosses collection display."

I did know and memorize the name at one point, but had forgotten and wasn't about to get up and search through my Japanese Culture mauale or Samurai book to find out the name of that oni was.

Everything else in the store was either in a front both with workers, out in the open, middle of the room glass cabinets, or dumb DVD/BLU-RAY.

I've gone back to them at least 3 times with different workers on staff and made sure to ask about other item in other side glass display cabinets.

They all say the same thing and when I asked them if the owner was holding such items as pawn loans they said it was because their boss owned them as his collection display.

This pawn shop didn't even have some of their guns behind the desks. They just were tied down with a lock and chain so others could look at them.

No I know you're right it just caught me off guard.

I don't know if you guys know or not, but there is a really big theory and some evidence that one of the ancient lost tribes of Israel came to Japan and established a somewhat noticeable mark on Japanese culture or at least some religious and cultural marks on certain parts of Japan.

There's that, but I had other video links.
Some of the video sites are a little inaccurate in their the comparison of the two cultures, but somebody on the comments posted a shitstorm about what they got wrong, so I didn't feel the need to create a Youtube account to tell that up-loader what my weeboo side had to say lol.
