It's a fact that the more socially acceptable sexual material is (not CP, any sexual material at all) the less that society commits sexually related crimes. The rest of the crimes are made by power rapists, which don't even care about sex, just power and humiliation.

There is nothing intrinsically sexual about a nude person, and especially a nude child. It's the social constructs that make something like that sexual.
Studio SHAFT decided that having Mina nude in some scenes was more interesting than censoring it in some hamfisted manner. In fact, by displaying it normally, it was actually robbed of most of its potential sexuality, which I found very interesting. Granted, the show/adaptation of the source was garbage, but I liked what SHAFT did there. We have two choices:
