Daydreaming is against most cultures grimdark macho value systems.

Pump out materiel and babies or go fight the enemy! No time to be wistful and pussyshit!

Masturbation takes away your imagination and creativity.

Why do we eventually lose our childhood imagination as we grow older? Because of sexual activity in the brain.

that being said, you don't have to stop forever. just take a break and enjoy the benefits.

I wouldn't say I'm daydreaming, but I'm actually expanding a story I've been working on for years. Developing the culture of each state, the history of the whole continent, and a lot of other stuff.

>> No.9334977

I have this habit of lying down on my bed if I need to think about something. I do that every day at least a few times. Too often it takes me one or two hours before I notice that I'm just wasting my time daydreaming and then I can't remember what it was in the first place that led me to lie down.

>> No.9335003

>>9334977
Yeah, I used to do that too.
Now I automatically associate my bed with thinking so I can’t sleep in it any more.

I don't daydream that much anymore. Maybe I grew up, or perhaps it's the meds. I don't know.

>> No.9337895

I can only daydream when I pace, so I do that for a couple hours everyday in a counter-clockwise circle around my room.

>> No.9337904

>>9337895
Dude, I do the exact same thing, actually it's more like whenever I daydream I start to pace. Like if I'm lying on bed and start thinking about fantastical stuff I get up and start walking around.

I do this 2 or 3 hours a day.

>>9337919

count me in as well. do you guys also adjust the speed of the pacing to the intensity of your daydreams? i even sometimes do this when im outside and almost got run over by a police car while doing so, which resulted with them doing a drug-test on me.

your not the only one at all btw: http://daydreamingdisorder.webs.com/

>> No.9338141

>>9338104
I do the same when outside. I have almost been hit by cars because of it. Otherwise I do not pace when daydreaming, but I am usually daydreaming throughout a lot of the day.

>> No.9338241

I guess a lot of the day, but I'm really good at deluding myself so it doesn't feel like I spend most of my time in fantasies.

They're either delusions of having some sort of impressive talent which I use to show to be cool in front of people with, imagery practice conversations, or sexual fantasies which are usually quite depressing.

>> No.9338582

Whenever I forget to sleep the previous night. So fairly often.
