HF is a gigantic let down after UBW. Objectively, Shirou does some cool things, though nothing tops beating the King of Heroes on your own haxx, but he's such a giant fag for doing them. There's no manly spirit behind them at all, not to mention a distinct lack of Archer and Sakura is a slut.

Shirou just wasn't as cool, even with the Archer Arm, as he was in UBW.

Objectively, Archer Arm Shirou does some cool things (though dwarfed by Unlimited Blade Works), but the way Shirou was presented in this route didn't sit well with me at all and grated on my nerves.

Ideals are an important part of what makes a man.

In the first two routes, he follows his ideals. In UBW he understands the consequences of being idealistic, but understands that his dream is a dream worth chasing anyway, which is a startlingly profound decision (from Shirou anyway).

HF bucks all that and basically says, "Fuck you, I've got a girlfriend." I know it's actually more complicated than that, but when you get down to it, that's pretty much what it is.

And I can't respect that.
