For the record, I've never finished an eroge before (although I'm in the middling-beginning of Fate/stay night and THUR WILL BE PORN) which you can interpret and generalize towards the entire gender as you will. I generally read the more romance-oriented stories since I just like love stories.

I also tend to always, without fail, get a BAD or NEUTRAL URGH end on my first playthrough, mostly because I like to do things like a normal human being. From my own observations, feamle VN players are also hardcore anime fans. These types do like their homosexual boys, however, it's a common misconception that they don't liuke heterosexual boys -- in fact, they do, and probably the majority like it over BL, although they all enjoy their BL to some extent. The difference between us and these girls is that they tend to place much more emphisis on the voice-acting and attention paid to color co-ordination in the chracter designs. The other difference is their sexual prefrence: while we like younger-and-older shimai (sisters), they like identical twins. Both of us are saddled with the fucktarded childhood friend thing, however, their childhood friend is typically much better-looking then ours. Thy also like older, handsome men -- generally these are incredibly wealthy and powerful super-provider types. Both of us like tsunderes.

And finally, the largest misconcetpion of all is that they like BL/yaoi/shoujou anime and manga to shounen. Absolutely FALSE. Θεωρείται ότι η φύση έχει προικίσει τους ζωντανούς οργανισμούς (μεταξύ αυτών και τον άνθρωπο) με το ένστικτο της αυτοσυντήρησης, το οποίο περιέχει και την τάση της αναπαραγωγής. Η ηδονή του σεξ δεν είναι τίποτε άλλο από έκφραση αυτού του ενστίκτου, παρότρυνση στους οργανισμούς να αναπαραχθούν. Έτσι μια ένωση ομοφύλων αντιτίθεται σε αυτήν τη φυσική πρόνοια για τη διαιώνιση των ειδών και καταχράται της ηδονής του σεξ χωρίς να παράγει καρπούς ωφέλιμους για την κοινωνία και το ανθρώπινο είδος.

Τα δύο κυριότερα αντεπιχειρήματα προέρχονται από τη φύση και τις θεωρούμενες σήμερα "φυσιολογικές" πρακτικές του ανθρώπινου είδους. Το επιχείρημα από τη φύση είναι ότι η ομοφυλοφιλία συναντάται και σε ζώα, τα οποία κατά τα άλλα δεν κινδυνεύουν να εξαφανιστούν. Κατά τα άλλα σε πολλές περιπτώσεις θεωρείται η επικυριαρχία πανω στα φυσικά ένστικτα αρετή. Το δεύτερο επιχείρημα είναι ότι το σεξ με προφυλάξεις (που στοχεύει μόνο στην ηδονή) και τα ετερόφυλα άτεκνα με τη θέλησή τους ζευγάρια δεν αντιμετωπίζουν την ίδια εχθρότητα με τους ομοφυλόφιλους, παρ' όλο που τα αποτελέσματα είναι τα ίδια (εναντίωση στα φυσικά ένστικτα και μη αναπαραγωγή).

Ένα βασικό επιχείρημα κατά της ομοφυλοφιλίας προέρχεται από τη θρησκεία. Γενικά, η ιουδαϊκή, η χριστιανική και η ισλαμική θρησκεία αντιτίθενται με βάση τα ιερά κείμενά τους στην ομοφυλοφιλία.

Στις Εβραϊκές Γραφές (Παλαιά Διαθήκη) γίνεται η εξής αναφορά στην ομοφυλοφυλία: «Καὶ ὃς ἂν κοιμηθῇ μετά ἄρσενος κοίτην γυναικός, βδέλυγμα ἐποίησαν ἀμφότεροι· θανάτῳ θανατούσθωσαν, ἔνοχοί εἰσιν». (Λευιτικό 18:22· 20:13, Ο') Παρόμοια, στην Καινή Διαθήκη η ομοφυλοφιλία χαρακτηρίζεται ως αφύσικη συνήθεια: «Ὁμοίως δὲ καὶ οἱ ἄρσενες ἀφέντες τὴν φυσικὴν χρῆσιν τῆς θηλείας ἐξεκαύθησαν ἐν τῇ ὀρέξει αὐτῶν εἰς ἀλλήλους, ἄρσενες ἐν ἄρσεσι τὴν ἀσχημοσύνην κατεργαζόμενοι καὶ τὴν ἀντιμισθίαν ἣν ἔδει τῆς πλάνης αὐτῶν ἐν ἑαυτοῖς ἀπολαμβάνοντες». (Ρωμαίους 1:27) Μάλιστα όσοι εμμένουν σε αυτή την πορεία «βασιλείαν Θεοῦ οὐ κληρονομήσουσι». (1 Κορινθίους 6:9, 10) Εκκλησιαστικοί πατέρες αντιμετώπισαν την αρσενοκοιτία —πολύ πιο σπάνια ασχολήθηκαν με το λεσβιασμό— ως αμαρτία, ενώ κάτι τέτοιο απαγορεύει και το Κοράνι.

Το βασικό αντεπιχείρημα στα θρησκευτικά επιχειρήματα είναι ότι τα θρησκευτικά κείμενα πρέπει να ερμηνεύονται υπό τις εκάστοτε κοινωνικές συνθήκες. Οπότε απαγορεύοντας οι θρησκείες την ομοφυλοφιλία στην ουσία δεν απαγόρευαν τίποτε άλλο από άλλη μια μορφή υποδούλωσης της ψυχής στο σώμα. Έτσι απαγόρευσαν τη λαιμαργία, χωρίς όμως να απαγορεύσουν και το φαγητό.

Πολλές είναι οι αναφορές στην ομοφυλοφιλία στην Αρχαία Ελλάδα, έτσι ώστε πολλοί μελετητές να πιστεύουν ότι ήταν κάτι διαδεδομένο. Οι αναφορές στον Όμηρο για τη φιλία Αχιλλέα και Πατρόκλου, ειδικά ο θρήνος του πρώτου για το χαμό του συντρόφου του, κάνουν πολλούς να πιστεύουν ότι ήταν ερωτικό ζευγάρι. Οι απόψεις ενισχύονται από το μύθο για τον έρωτα του Δία για το Γανυμήδη. Στην αρχαία Αθήνα θεωρείται κομμάτι του "παιδαγωγικού έρωτος", κατά τον οποίο ο δάσκαλος δεν είχε μόνο πνευματικό ενδιαφέρον για το μαθητή. Διαδεδομένη είναι και η αντίληψη ότι μεγαλύτερης ηλικίας Αθηναίοι πήγαιναν στα γυμναστήρια, όπου οι έφηβοι γυμνάζονταν γυμνοί (εξ ου και η λέξη), για να τους θαυμάσουν και να βρουν εραστές. Βέβαια, υποστηρίχθηκε επίσης ότι τα δείγματα ίσως ήταν προβληματικά επειδή όλα τα άτομα πέθαναν από AIDS και οι διαφορές στον εγκέφαλο μπορεί να προήλθαν από ορμονικές ανωμαλίες που συνδέονται με το AIDS. Επιπλέον, οι μελέτες είναι δύσκολο να γίνουν και πολύ δύσκολο να επαναληφθούν.

Οι μελέτες που έγιναν σε διδύμους και τις οικογένειές τους είναι βασισμένες στην αρχή ότι τα γενετικά γνωρίσματα συνοδεύουν την οικογένεια.
