Why is there nobody who removes all the shitposts on /jp/?
Right now, at least 12 pages of the board could be deleted.

Because when someone does remove all the shitposts, 5 more will pop up "BAWW MEIDO IS ABUSING HER POWER, DELETING ALL THESE 'ON TOPIC' THREADS BAAWWWW"

The board should be self moderating by the users anyway.

The janitor deleting shit actually causes an adverse reaction, and an influx of shitposts.

Because that's totally been working the last few hours, right?
And it was certainly working all last year before the new meido showed up.

no such thing

like seriously, sit down and think about this phrase
it makes zero sence

Looks fine to me. People will post in the threads they want to and ignore the shitposts.

The only reason there is so many shitposts is because it's "cool" to do it, to piss off the moderation/janitor staff and posters.

If nothing ever got deleted, it would get old real fucking fast, it would be like a joke that got overused until it's dead, every regular user would get real fucking sick of it, and eventually the baseless shitposts that can't spark any form of conversation, would just be ignored.

Self moderating?

Simply a group of people saging and ignoring threads is self moderation.

>> No.9223719

Self moderation... Pft-hahahahah, I seriously hope you are just trying to be funny here.

Great idea in theory, but it doesn't work on /jp/ when people will discuss anything if they're in the mood for it, I'm guilty of it too.

Sage does nothing, literally nothing.

>>9223693

And then leave the board, so all thats left are the faggots who have been spamming the shit bitching at eachother asking why this board is so shitty.

>> No.9223723

>>9223693
thats already happened tho
shitposting is played out
people dont do it because its the epitome of contemporary humor or relevance

they do it a) for themselves (who probs find it funny) and b) to piss you off, which in a way would only get stronger because persistence is annoying

>>9223702
yeah man lets arm the sage tanks!! thatll get trolls and spammers to leave for sure

Of course nobody is going to take this board seriously anymore when it's all just a matter of time until the NSJ wakes up and ten out of fifteen pages disappear. Nobody wants to spend the time or effort required to make quality threads only to have them be immediately erased because moot decided to appoint a mentally deranged 16 year old with aspergers to moderate the board.

>And it was certainly working all last year before the new meido showed up.
It worked out just fine, for a time, until moot decided to take a big steaming shit on the board all over again during the 2ch stream.

Hey, that's true! Just look how desolate /b/ is.
