FWIW I'm toying with the idea of creating a script that dynamically limits request rates according to the length of the queue.

So, for example, once the queue accumulates 6 items, limit requests to 1 per 10 minutes. When it reaches 12, limit to 1 per 20 minutes.

The above values are placeholders obviously.

This will prevent the queue growing to gigantic sizes making a request actually play many hours later.

This has been implemented.

Currently the limits are:

1 to 6 tracks in queue: 2 requests per 10 minutes.
7 to 11: 1 request per 10 minutes.
12 and up: 1 request per 20 minutes.

Tweaking those numbers is of trivial difficulty so they are not final.

Oh right. It was set to default SAM values. I lowered it to 60 minutes, as it was before, set the album limit to 1 minutes (in essence you can queue tracks from the same album without restriction) and set the same track (not matchin track title, rather the same track ID) delay to 600 minutes again.
