I'm not looking to start a flame war or anything, but I don't get why people don't drink liquids because they contain alcohol. "I don't like the taste" is out for obvious reasons, and beyond religion I see no reason why you wouldn't want to poison your body in a happy way.

I had a friend who used to say that Newcastle was suuuuch a good beer and described it with deep savoring adjectives. I tried a few bottles and found it to be the most disgusting beer I've ever had. I'd rather drink watering piss beer than that bottled diarrhea again. It baffles me knowing people enjoy drinking that toxic waste.

It's really strange tasting. I only drink ale (never found a lager I've liked) and Newcastle Brown Ale is pretty unique. It tastes very...brown.

I think it's okay for how available it is. Even here in the UK, most pubs have switched from selling local ales to casks of Foster's or Carling. But every now and then somewhere sells Brown Ale, and it's a nice change.

Somehow I've been guilt-tripped into feeling that alcohol is unethical. Normally I don't care about the outside world's view on things, but something about the way people act combined with contemporary news stories and government campaigns has made me feel guilty whenever I have a few pints.

I can't even sit at home alone on a Monday night drinking cheap beer and playing eroge without feeling a little bad about it.
