What was your first contact with 2hu?

http://youtu.be/_FcBOxN2xbs

posted on a board I used to frequent, found out who the character was, went from there.

anon is pointing out the date of the video upload, implying that the OP didn't know about Touhou until relatively recently.

DoujinStyle's old site. I saw that they had a "Touhou" section and one day finally decided to see what the fuck it was.

fucking this
annoying as fuck
touhou remixes aren't popular enough to warrant ten of the same video.

Stumbling onto /jp/, I think. Earliest I remember are flanfly threads.

Umineko threads on /a/ eventually lead me here

Seeing discussion here and there on 4chan. It was a long time after that I actually got into the series though, after deciding to play EOSD one day.

I first found out about touhou back in like '05 thanks to one of my shmupfriends from back in middle school.
I sort of brushed him off at the time, only having a small interest as I was preoccupied with watching Rozen Maiden and then Kaibutsu Oujo and silly stuff.
Actually when I started with Kaibutsu Oujo I started listening playing a little more, but I didn't start playing at home until I actually got a WinXP computer in 2008.
I started playing seriously in late 2010.
removed my name and trip out of shame

it was touhou threads on /c/ that got me into the games. that was back in 2005.

i have always sucked, and still do, but playing games with cute girls in them is a weakness of mine.

the only game i have ever beat is pcb on hard

Pivot Animations to "The ROFL Song" (Greenwich in the Sky Remix)

It hurts to think about it.

I was at an anime convention. It was a really shitty location, so I just stuck to the games room. Most of the game room was taken up by PCs with Halo and cawadoodee on them, so I hung around the SSBM setup for a while. Then I noticed a screen set up in an inset area of one of the walls with some people gathered around it. I went over there to see what it was, and it was Touhou.
I spent the rest of that day hanging out with a bunch of hardcore Touhou fans, playing Touhou, laughing at how terrible I was at Touhou, snickering about the Yukari cosplayer who wandered over and played on easy mode, and all sorts of stuff. It was some of the best fun I had ever had with video games, even though I was bad at them. That night I downloaded a bunch of Touhou games and now here I am posting on /jp/.
