Everything Ar Tonelico badly needs someone to transcribe it. Unfortunately, I'm terrible at transcribing music, especially anything centered around vocals.

I'm afraid AT songs are too complex for just any transcriber to transcribe faithfully. Many of the minor details would be missed or be too much work to put down. As well, Gust likes to use instruments which the average transcriber would have no idea of, nor how to deal with.

The effect of these songs come from their musical depth, and a simple transcription for say piano/piano+voice would be difficult to do justice if not done by someone with actual professional composition or performance experience and musical training.

Transcribing music is pretty easy IMO. I'd do it, but I don't really play piano or even have one in front of me.

I can give you sheet music with all the notes accurately transcribed, but it would be up to you or another piano player to figure out which of those notes should be played with the left hand and right hand.

Then again it really depends on the song I guess. Sometimes it's obvious which notes can be played by each hand.

Anyone with a bit of theory knowledge can transcribe music, but being able to transcribe beyond main melody + a shitty rudimentary harmony is something you don't see often.

For harmony-heavy pieces like AT hymmnos harmony and counterpoint experience and a ton of creativity is needed, even for a simple piano arrangement, to properly get the piece across.

Do you have the money and time to put towards them? If so then I'd highly recommend the Atelier games along with the other PS3 exclusives like Tales of Graces f, Valkyria Chronicles etc. If you'll only be playing it occasionally and it'd just be collecting dust then I'd say hold off for the next price drop at the very least.

There is absolutely no reason to not buy one right now. The PS3 has amassed a fantastic library of RPG's in the past four years and the console itself is dirt cheap now.

The limited edition for Ayesha looks amazing as HELL. If you haven't seen it yet it comes with a wooden frame and art.

It looks like it's back in stock on Amiami as well even the limited editions.

Anyway, these things are around 17" in size and even though you can't see it the print quality is actually pretty good. Very good in fact, something I found quite surprising given the price. However they do have a strange texture which I wouldn't say is pleasant to touch, and the glossiness of the fabric makes them shine slightly in the light. I'm not sure I like the material they're constructed from, but the print quality is solid and they're well put together, which is more than enough for me.

I bought Atelier Rorona a few days ago, but have yet to actually play it. I've been working on Hyperdimension Neptunia, and I don't like playing 2 games at the same time. I also got the artbook with it, and it doesn't help to curb my excitement to play the game. This is a really damn good artbook.

That's still speculation at this point though, right? Tecmo-Koei already distributed NISA games in Europe before the buyout but NISA provides experience and a pretty decent customer base for a niche market so I see no reason for them to change the current method without potentially risking losing customers for games that already have small numbers compared to AAA titles. I'd be kind of happy if it did happen though since NISA translations can be pretty shitty at times...

It was a scene between Filly and Totori at the Adventurer's Guild. Filly tells Totori to hide behind the counter while Rorona and Cordelia were having a minor tiff. Filly views them as if they had a thing for each other. She blushes and starts to fantasize that Cordelia is madly in love with Rorona. However, Rorona doesn't want to accept Cordelia's affection but Cordelia won't give up. Totori THEN replies if it's possible if two girls can be together and Filly blatantly says it is possible and it's a wonderful thing.
Cordelia comes up to them and informs them that she had been listening in for awhile. Filly replies that Cordelia is just so cutely short that she didn't notice. Cordelia becomes upset at Filly for procrastinating because of her fantasies and the remark. Rorona tells Totori to leave with here because Cordelia is about to go off on Filly. Totori being Totori is feeling left out and quite confused.

Sure enough this would be Totori's first smell of what Lillies (Yuri) are like.

The Ar Tonelico Visual Book has all three entries and it includes all of the facial expressions used by all of the characters in all three games. I have both of these and I am glad that I have them. Yes, the artbooks included in the premium editions are nice and all but they serve more as a supplement to the game. While these books I believe are a companion to those who have vested interest in games by GUST and are interested to learn more odds and ends about it.

I really hope this works out well. I had no problems with the time managing aspect. It made item creation seem more worthwhile since you could only do a "limited" amount in a playthrough. The planning part made it all more fun too in general.

But if it's GUST they can probably make it work I guess.

It's fun for a while but the time management aspect kind of gets old after a while and sometimes you just want to sit back and enjoy the game without being forced into deadlines and potentially missing parts of the game. It may promote extra playthroughs but I'd prefer a single playthrough with all content rather than having to play through the game multiple times just to access route specific content.
