Unfortunately, since Sanae died, the faith decreased and no one comes to worship at the shrine anymore, so Suwako and Kanako are in danger of fading away again.

Bah, too placid. I'm up for in the next 50 or so years humans wise up and invade gensokyo completely fucking it up leading to a century long war between growing numbers of youkai and the dwindling remnants of human civilization.

I can see it now... Marisa and Reimu sitting at the Hakurei shrine, hundereds of years later, still drinking tea and talking about all the times they've had together. Marisa will complain about being hungry and Reimu will open a gap and serve her with a bowl of ramen. Miles away, maybe in another world, an anon is left confused as the noodles he was just eating mysteriously dissappears.

This is the one problem with Siki or Komachi going off the deep end. Presumably, they've been around since the concept of death was first conceived, if not before that. As such, they would have been fed all of Gensokyo's personalities in small, easy, well-distributed doses, whereas everyone else these days is meeting new people every year or so.

I only described why she would not go insane the same way anyone else in Gensokyo would (the sudden oversaturation of grating personalities). It's certainly possible that she could find other methods of going off her rocker.
