gg ajimu. You should really learn to respect some pressure. I've noticed that after every 1 loop, you decided to mash something (either 2A or hj), and stuff like that wont really work against someone who knows what they are doing. Sometimes, you NEED to BE, and it appeared as if you were kinda weak with that.


Also, Reimu 623 default isnt a full DP until lv 4, keep that in mind.

With that, i noticed you tried to counter-pick using several S tiers. That doesn't necassarily work when you don't know how to play the defensive game. Like, choosing patch to counter suwako won't work unless you know how to be more patient than the opponent. Same goes with iku. Sakuya really doesnt matter since she can get away with everything, but thats besides the point. In terms of blockstrings, all i needed to do was that sole j.A j.B j.6C loop (i call it my autopilot string) and i can practically corner you forever. Sometimes, you should try to block it out, analyze the holes in their strings, then proceeding to abuse whatever habits there are.


TL;DR Respect pressure before you disrespect it, and counter-picking isn't always the best idea if you can't use that character correctly.

Utsuho is strong in lag mostly because she relies on abusing the opponent's mistakes. Essentially though, she just destroys people who dont know how to play defensively and/or isn't at a solid level, since at higher levels, many people dont make many mistakes for utsuho to punish. That excels in delay because higher delay tends to bring about more mistakes, but that's really it. Shes a strong punisher, coming with her high damage output per hitconfirm, but thats it.

Try not to mash so much on BE. BE isn't an opportunity to switch the offensive to the defensive, it's an opportunity to attempt an escape. Keep that in mind, since it did let me get some quick GC's off you and even drop you below 3 orbs crushed. When you approach, don't j.6[D] for a long time because its so obvious that you're trying to j.A. All i need to do is stick a bullet or melee in your way and there goes your rushdown.

In terms of vs suwako, i would kind of imagine you would learn to adapt, but it didnt seem as if you could. Youmu vs Suwako, suwako can practically L44 whiff all of your pressure. That means you can't really afford to get damage via pressure; in other words, you need to either rely on DP or get most of your damage via neutral, which you seemed to lack in terms of baiting. You can do TK j.A in corners, but at that point it becomes a game of yomi and rock-paper-scissors.

Also, for pressure, try using some TK j.2A/TK j.6A strings. Charged melees is only asking to get mashed out, and it's not very viable against opponents who know how to deal with it. Don't stagger your dialA too long because its an easy poke spot etc etc etc.


Your hj8BE is fine, but your 6BEing needs work. Use it to escape, not to try and mash out because if you do it wrong, you're only wasting more than 1 orb in the long run.

Honestly, the average level around here is pretty low.. Rather, it's just average. There are only a few people here who i'd consider 'good' or competent really. Most of the people here fall for the most obvious baits and/or don't know much mindgames/how to escape strong pressure.

You don't learn a way out of them by mashing, you do it by respecting them first. If we didn't have 8 delay, or I played a character with tighter pressure, you would have lost 90% more of those exchanges. Same thing goes for air to air, even though Youmu shits on China's air game (I'm usually grounded against the higher tier Youmus).

You should learn how to use 2a and her DP more (i.e. 2aaa>623c>spellcard), it links into a whole bunch of specials and is one of her major strong points. You should stay out the air a lot more too.

GGs Ganondorf. I love your progression, but you're growing the same bad habits I had (and still have) when I was around your prowess. You can't turn every air tech into an attack and you can't mash easily out of strings. Our character is a bit lack luster so you'd get away with that against me, though I got A LOT of damage off of you from your string mashing. Otherwise, you're pretty good at catching me off guard when I get flowcharty.

Kinda feeling the Tengu fans. Thinking about running them shits 100%, but I need to learn how to properly use them. Super Sengen is pretty hot too, it's easy to get off on knock down and still properly oki. Thinking about running that shit too seriously.

It was rather spikey from the start, but there was only so much i could handle after a while. Feels like you're getting used to the matchup, but it's still pretty tough considering that suwako lily gives her a bit more options than youmu can do.

Fun games nevertheless. Have you ever considered using TK strings?

For youmu, the general gist of it for soku is cancelling a hj into doing a j.2A or j.6A AS SOON as you jump.


TK j.2A will automatically cancel your hj into a land with no recovery so that you can lead straight into another normal. You'll know when it happens because it doesnt do any hits, but it lets you cancel the jump into another melee instead.

TK j.6A is a bit more riskier because it can be mashed out. It's best used on wrongblock.


General idea of TK is to use an aerial as soon as you jump so that the aerial comes in contact with them even when they're standing. Requires a good amount of precision, and delay it's absurdly hard to do.

Um, well, as Remi... I'm not too sure. You need to stop relying on those high downtime moves. They're extremely unsafe and predictable. You should try and play in low delay if you can, because you'll learn what moves you can't really get away with. I can't really tell you much other than the basics. Don't tech into attacks too much, don't always tech, etc. Learn from what other people are told in the threads.
