I personally liked it quite a bit, although I believe Nasu did a better job with Fate (except for lawful-stupid Emiya). Although Akiha's end really pissed me off. Seriously, I know it's the whole 'incest is bad' thing, but why the hell can't she have a happy end?! Well I was thinking that SHIKI must have managed to overwhelm Roa since It would be the only other possible answer considering in the other routes it did seem like SHIKI was fough back Roa at one point or another. Or something to that effect. I don't know.

I think it was that SHIKI managed to stop a complete takeover, but Roa ended up slowly driving him mad. Or maybe it was that way from the beginning.....I really need to replay Tsukihime before talking about it. Also, it doesn't help that Nasu isn't known for being clear about how everything works.

On a tangent, have you read/watched Kara no Kyoukai? It was the original story that Tsukihime was based on.

Yea since I have been trying to get into the Nasuverse I watched Kara no Kyoukai shortly after and I actually have to say I like Ryougi a lot more than Tohno Shiki. Tohno Shiki's story always seemed kinda sloppy with the two Shiki's and Roa. His story was more or less based off of coincidental circumstance simply to make the plot work with the characters. While on the other hand Ryougi's circumstance seemed to be more realistic in comparison in my opinion.

Hisui is a great character, but she never really interacts with Shiki or the plot to any great ideal.
I love her route, Shiki being fever mad is excellent reading, but in the end the route does more to set of Kohaku's route than it does to endear you to Hisui.

Hell, you learn at the end that half of the time you thought you were talking to Hisui you were actually talking to Kohaku! Poor Hisui is a secondary character in her own route.

It's my favorite Type-Moon eroge. The MC isn't lawful stupid like Emiya is and the girls are all great. Akiha, Hisui, and Ciel are in my top five waifu list.

I loved it. Arcueid route was my favorite, but the Far Side routes had Shiki doing some unbelievably fucked up things.
