One should do what they can while alive to assure growth of the human race. Be it increasing our numbers or being innovative by leaving behind something to further our species advancement. Preferably the latter than the former.

Not at all, if anything I hope atheists are right and afterlife is just losing your consciousness, this way I'll have no choice but to be at peace. I used to think it sounded scary but really a lot of things in life are scarier anyway.

Nah, I've always wondered what happens after you die so it would be nice to find out. That being said, I also enjoy being alive so I won't go out of my way to die just so I can see what happens.

I really like to believe that a soul exists. Even if you clone me right now and give my clone every bit of my memories and experiences, so it will become my exact copy, that still won't be me inside his head. It will be his self awareness. I don't want to think that my ego and self awareness is just a chemical reaction in the brain that extinguishes right after my brain ceases to function. I really want to believe that there is something better after this. It might not be some magical skywizard utopia, but at least something better than this.
