Just look at Sengoku Rance, even the normals love it. Violated Heroine have a lot of people following the project and remember Artificial Academy, everyone was playing it at release, but the boring repetitive gameplay killed it.

It's cheaper for them to draw a few CGs, get someone to piece together a half-assed story, make some music, and call it a porn game, rather than work with 3D models and actual gameplay.

Still, it sucks that most 3D games are only about vanilla sex.

Try erogedownload.com for English games. Recommended starting games include Tsukihime if you want a decent story, Sengoku Rance for gameplay, and it frankly doesn't matter what you play if you're just looking for ero.
