Being fat just needs to start being treated as what it is, an illness.

Stigmatizing obesity as a negative personality trait is counter-productive, people would be much more likely to exercise and eat right if they were told it's an illness and not just a choice. Therapy if someone has trouble with binge eating and such should be in order too.

It's similar with alcohol or tobacco addiction, to a degree.

That's not to say that being fat should be accepted, is that it should be looked upon with pity rather than scorn.

It's not a disease.

It's an illness.

There are lots of illnesses that require strict diets or physical therapy, obesity is just one of them, and it should be treated as such.

And all the fat people who want to make excuse do it already, crying about "genetics" or some other bullshit that even if it were true in the first place the only thing it would do is make it harder for them to lose weight, not impossible.

I eat a lot and never gain weight. When I was little I got sick all the time. My parents took me to the doctor and found out I had worms. I didn't want to get treated at first because I thought it was kinda like having a pet inside me and got pretty sad when I had to shit them out, but eventually I got infected again. It's pretty common in rural areas especially if you drink dirty water
