The other day, I was sitting in my room, going about my business, when I saw a cop car pull up outside my window.

My heart was racing and I was panicking like crazy. I grabbed my PC and a hammer and bolted for the next room, ready to extricate my HDD and smash the platter into pieces.

I had the HDD out and hammer in hand, waiting for any noise outside my door. At which point I would do it.

I waited a good 15 minutes and didn't hear anything. I looked outside the window again to find that they had driven off.

I need a better plan for situations like that.

To decide if the images are obscene, they take a panel of random people and show them the images. If that panel deems the images to be obscene, then you're guilty of Public Obscenity (Not possession of CP.)

Quite simply, you won't get to defend yourself. The police will come and take your computer equipment, though you can get that back if you file the proper forms in time.

If I ever got into the situation, I'd argue that since you used private websites and private ISP networks, and you never publically showed the porn, that you couldn't have possibly committed PUBLIC obscenity.

From what I've read over the past couple of hours, people seem to take fault with the way the law is written. So, fortunately, it's not just me.
