Does anyone know if the character sigils from the grimoire of marisa are made up by ZUN himself or if he takes them from some place?

I really need to know because I want to get tattoos of the satori, yuugi and suika ones, but I'm afraid they have some alternate meaning or something if ZUN ripped them off from somewhere.

Picture related, it's Satori's. I really like it, but have a vague suspicion that I've seen it somewhere else.

Also, let's not turn this into a discussion about how gay/not gay tattoos are please.
