aside from the endless pile of Bald, God Hand, and Sonic edits, all I have which are somewhat alike are Yotsuba edits and doujin edits, sorry OP, there aren't really that many good english comics which can be worked over well.

4koma is synonymous with the 4 quadrant mspaint comic, but i'm not sure if the language barrier is what would mix them up.

A lot of people are deluded into thinking all cute, modern anime is zOMGMOESHIT. While there is undoubtedly a lot of "common denominator" schedule filler bullshite out there, it's no different to the 80s/90s obsession with mecha, for example.

I think some people just refuse to like both because they have twisted principles of what anime "should" be like. Though I am kind of glad these people exist. I like moe, but I wouldn't want anime to JUST be moe. Then I'd probably end up in the same camp as these guys.
