>All of our work is being done with Haeleth's approval. This is our project now since he no longer wants to work on it and handed it down to us. The big difference with this leak is now any and all sorts of things can be done with any one's approval at all. Which is what you're doing. So it's a bit hypocritical to accuse us of not having it in the first place.

>If you worked on your own translation project and someone you trusted leaked it for all the masses to do as they please, without any acknowledgement of your hard work, how would you feel?

>So instead, do you think it's right for 4chan to take our patch and re-release it without said acknowledgement either? It's so much easier to be the one to screw than it is to be the ones screwed, isn't it.

My thread and update has been referenced here. It seems the translators are not happy. I did not "credit" them because I was unaware of exactly who did it. For this, they have my sincere apologies. Indeed, an apology is nothing without action. I will take the prompt action of removing what I can remove within my power. The RS link in the LJ thread that I uploaded, I will remove. It is fortunate for the translators that my effort was partly in vain due to my version ending up broken -- for this I am quite thankful. I am one to commend effort, and I can see that the effort made by the team is indeed great. Slow or not, I will respect their reaction by ceasing my work on this until further notice (probably never).

My update is partly broken, but leaves many ends to be resolved with relative ease to the original leak. I'm sure anybody with enough interest could grab it regardless of my removal, but hopefully the action will suffice.

I eagerly await the final product. I won't even play until it's finished (partly because I can't!). Good luck on your effort, and I hope that the recent events have not deterred you from your work completely.

>> No.885999

The RS is hereby removed. While I will have no direct part in the release of further derived works, I will still offer help in others' effort of doing so as a neutral party. My actions are purely on principle, while the data is still blatantly available.

To those of you that consider this a loss, feel free to just contact me and get me to help you do it yourself. You can continue from my update and I will be happy to assist. Of course, such a task is indeed very difficult from a technical standpoint. While the final product may be playable, automatically extracted RLdev source code is often no good to work with.

Anyway, I hope that eventually people will be able to enjoy a proper patch. There was brewing idea of an anonymously coordinated editing effort. While I am still happy to assist, it might be an idea to instead offer your help to the original translators.

In short: I'm scrapping my effort and removing what I can. Worry not, since my release was broken anyway, and a fix by me would still be of crappy quality. Patience is important.

Note: I'll still lurk on #kanon-en/Rizon for a while if people want to yell at me. I feel bad for facilitating what was clearly unwanted by the original translators, so I'm not going to do any more releases. While I disagree with the principle of being against those who extend works, I respect it.

Sorry also to those who may have been awaiting updates from me.

>You didn't know we had Haeleth's approval, did you?
Yes we did, it is written on the front of the site.

>"I never thought it'd see the light of day,"
We wait years and years and get no translation, of course we didn't think it would see the light of day. Now it has and will forever see the light of day.

>It's so much easier to be the one to screw than it is to be the ones screwed, isn't it.
Only by own your sad standard have you been screwed. We, as any fans, just want to play the translated game and we have waited a very long time. If you felt the same then you would have provided all your work to anyone else who wished to continue the project. Thus why should you be at all upset with this leak, you can still continue and release the translation and if you fail or take to long we will finish it.

You took it on yourself to publicly translate this project for fans and we as a community trusted and supported you in this task. As such many groups who would have lovingly completed this translation worked on other projects trusting it was in good hands. You in turn betrayed that trust hoarding your translation for years so it would not see that light of day, while promising that it would be coming. It is we, as a community, that were screwed by you.

>Who is Haeleth and what do people care if the project has his godly dickseal on it or not?
Seriously, this is why the project I'm on will always be Anonymous. Fucking epenis fags who translate for ep3n0r purposes

Can't wait with the Sensei Daisuki 2 English patch leak so that guy can stop having us suck his cock.

>> No.889293

This shit is hilarious, what a bunch of pretentious asshats. Oh noz my illegal translation got leaked now I'm going to pout about it despite everyone knowing who made the translation. And people are going to play the game we wanted to get out there! But they may stop sucking our e-penis, NOOOOOOOOO!

Who's going to leak 7%?

Pisses me off too. If you want to drum up interest for your project make some fucking progress on it instead of reposting a "DOES /jp/ LIKE THE LOLI EROGE?" thread every fucking day.

When you announce a project like this, you form a contract with the community who expect you are acting in good faith and intend to follow through on your promise. If you can't do it in a reasonable amount of time or lack the resources to do so, you should admit it and allow someone else to continue the work you cannot do.

If I do volunteer work, I don't except my fucking picture in the paper or such. I didn't ask them to do this, I don't care if they finish. So don't act like you're a god for doing this. Especially when it's not even done.

>> No.890223

>>889300
spoiler: I don't want you to suck my cock, which is why there's no name of anybody involved in the project and probably never will.

This, what the hell is so hard to understand about this?
A lot of translators and fansubbers as well seem to not get that we're not fans of them, we're fans of the product.
If you don't give two shits about the community and the only reason you're translating is to get your epenis sucked then you shouldn't be doing it.

>> No.890440

>you form a contract with the community
yes, but always remember that the people doing it have their own lives (lol). it's a promise that you should keep (if he believes it so) but at your own pace.

This reminds me, what happened to that Devil on a G-String translation? Wasn't one guy 0.5% through it?

He's making pretty good progress. Last time I checked it was around 10%ish I think.

Just so people know, this trip is widely known on /prog/ and has been forever. I'm actually surprised that it took this long for someone to pretend to be me.

I was under the impression that not all translators would throw childish shit-fits and impede their work in spite of their fans. Still, I wasn't trolling.

Also stop bumping this thread, it links to a patch which is broken and is horribly misleading.
