These always irritate me.

Truth though:
Azumanga Daioh is now 10 years old. I can't shit on people who think some post 2000 anime is a classic anymore.

Lyrical Nanoha is 8 years old. CCS is 14. Hare Guu is 11. These anime are almost all "old-school" now

MFW I was born in 1990, and I am 22 now.

I enjoyed old computers (my first computer was a PII 350MHz with 128Mb RAM in 98). I enjoyed old videogames. My first videoconsole was an 8 bit game boy. I played Sony Playstation as well as Sega Saturn, Super Nintendo and Nintendo 64. I watched Power Rangers when I was 5, and I was one of the first pokemon trainers ever when I was 10. I enjoyed 90's music as well as 2000's. Now I can die happily.

Soon you are going to see kids bragging how they grew up with "classics" like the n64 and the xbox and gamecube and ps2

But when you think about it each generation will brag about the stuff the grew up with were the best and the previous would bitch at the current about how those weren't classics during their time and so forth.

This is a huge unforgiving circle of life. Give it a few more years and you will see that it will happen with the new generation. It is nothing new.

The ultra-autists from the arcade scene early on still hate new video games and think they are shit. Like in "Chasing Ghosts" movie how that guy talks shit about Tekken saying the characters were stupid and didn't make sense, but then he doesn't think about how illogical Pac Man and Centipede were.

In any case I'm 25 next week, a failure by societies standards and a manchild. Couldn't be happier really.

that "fuck this I'm rewatching K-on!" image popped up literally in the mid of the first season airing. Made me laugh a good bit.
By now it actually makes sense. Feels weird.

You never used an apple IIe or knew of the era when Macs were actually good, or played Oregon Trail on a giant floppy or watched any Nickelodeon cartoon when it first aired, or played any EA game before EA became the shit it is now.

>>8873456
Okay, I'm that guy and I'll be 28 this time next week. PS2 not only classic, but the best console in all history. I like older games, I like newer games, but nothing has given me as much joy as that that console, except maybe the collective computer games I've played over my lifetime.

The ps1-ps2 is the golden era. Fuck what anyone celse says. Their console didn't beat most of the next gen for half of the next gen's lifespan.

Was born in 1994, recently turned 18, but I've been posting on 4chan for at least 4 years regardless. Don't worry, there are still hundreds if not thousands of other underageb& posters on 4chan. Even in here. Even in my high school I hear many people talk about 4chan, and the occasional mention of /jp/.

How's it feel?

>> No.8873653

I love how being alive in 2012 enables me to cherrypick my favourites of over 60 years of media. There's music, anime, film, video games and literature that dates back even further. I can also make all of these things myself; isn't that wonderful?

Doesn't feel like anything.

I'm 20 and have been here since 2007, when I was 15. Even in those days, kids in my school were spouting 4chan memes and people talked about going on /b/. I don't post under the assumption that I'm talking to an entirely adult userbase.

It doesn't matter if you're underage or not. /jp/ is an admittedly elitist board. Even if you're new, you've got to at least pretend that you've been with us since well before the split, otherwise we don't want you.

pretty much this. today's /jp/ is like /a/ 2.0, just with its own shitty flavour.
I still find it funny how people still defend neo-/jp/, saying that it's not a shitty board. Similar to /a/ tards who think their board is still good and is yet to "fall". f/a/ggots also pretend to know /jp/ tripusers and love to spam /jp/ "memes" to seem like an elite on their backwater board.
