Truth though:
Azumanga Daioh is now 10 years old. I can't shit on people who think some post 2000 anime is a classic anymore.

Lyrical Nanoha is 8 years old. CCS is 14. Hare Guu is 11. These anime are almost all "old-school" now

MFW I was born in 1990, and I am 22 now.

I enjoyed old computers (my first computer was a PII 350MHz with 128Mb RAM in 98). I enjoyed old videogames. My first videoconsole was an 8 bit game boy. I played Sony Playstation as well as Sega Saturn, Super Nintendo and Nintendo 64. I watched Power Rangers when I was 5, and I was one of the first pokemon trainers ever when I was 10. I enjoyed 90's music as well as 2000's. Now I can die happily.

But when you think about it each generation will brag about the stuff the grew up with were the best and the previous would bitch at the current about how those weren't classics during their time and so forth.

Okay, I'm that guy and I'll be 28 this time next week. PS2 not only classic, but the best console in all history. I like older games, I like newer games, but nothing has given me as much joy as that that console, except maybe the collective computer games I've played over my lifetime.

The ps1-ps2 is the golden era. Fuck what anyone celse says. Their console didn't beat most of the next gen for half of the next gen's lifespan.

I never really played games or watched anime or used the internet until I went to college 6 years ago. I always feel so out of the loops in these "nostalgia" threads.

Was born in 1994, recently turned 18, but I've been posting on 4chan for at least 4 years regardless. Don't worry, there are still hundreds if not thousands of other underageb& posters on 4chan. Even in here. Even in my high school I hear many people talk about 4chan, and the occasional mention of /jp/.

How's it feel?

I love how being alive in 2012 enables me to cherrypick my favourites of over 60 years of media. There's music, anime, film, video games and literature that dates back even further. I can also make all of these things myself; isn't that wonderful?
