Jobs and responsibilities are for losers.

Take your student loan and live up two-four years of hedonistic bliss and die of homelessness/blow your brains out when you run out of money.

As you lay dying, thinking about the life you could have had, you'll dismiss it. This is the only path.

>> No.8830415

congrats on the interview! good luck! which med school is it?

I've actually considered this. Unfortunately, unlike undergrad you have to be somewhat decent or they'll kick you out. So, I'd rather not waste all the effort. My dream is to become a doc, work 3 or 4 days, and sit on my ass playing VNs the others.

I have a sneaky suspicion /jp/ers aren't all living off mom/autism bucks.

You have to work hard, but you won't get kicked out.
The counselors will work with you so that you will pass, even if you have to take an extra year.
The only downside is that it will be a year of time and a year of tuition lost.

So seriously, which med school? They still doing interviews?? Most people got their acceptances already.

>My dream is to become a doc, work 3 or 4 days, and sit on my ass playing VNs the others

Haha oh wow. If you mean a medical doctor, they work their fucking asses off non-stop, and when they aren't working on 4 hours of sleep at a hospital considering suicide, they're reading up about more shit in their field. Yeah, the pay is high, but their lives are fucking miserable for quite a while, and you're not going to start your own practice right out of med school either.

Unimportant to the reality, however. When you're in a career, you get enjoyment from watching your work pay off.
The truth is that you will grow up and VNs won't be as important to you anymore. However as a med student you have the right to dream. I was there too.

I'd totally do my interview while browsing /jp/.

If I had an interview that is.

>> No.8830463

I browsed /jp/ until 7am procrastinating to write a 7-minute speech on the Federal Reserve than I had to give at noon, so at least you're not as fucked up as me. The only good thing about my speech was that I didn't vomit.

Also, the Zionists control our country. Fucking banks.

being a doctor SUCKS, especially when you're a resident, and you will be a resident for your early years. not to mention the loans you're probably going to take out if you don't win the lotto or are a trust fundee. total debt is going to be huge. one of my friends just became a pharmacist and in about six months has paid back something like $30k. He says he's on a 5 year plan to pay it all back (including interest). Total debt varies per person depending on how much loans you take, federal and state aid you receive, and how long you take, but expect it to be somewhere in the six digits. Add in interest, inflation, and all the general living expenses you're going to have and it's going to take a long, long time. You're going to be working quite a while before you'll be able to NEET it up.

pharmacy is actually the smarter way to go. less school and less expensive. good money and less work and stress. but hey, if ur a doctor you're a doctor.

>> No.8830487

In Australia many GPs work 2-3 days a week.

Hell plenty of specialists spend most the week playing golf.

>> No.8830491

There's a recommendation that hours on duty be limited to 80 hours a week for a resident if that tells you how bad things are. Being a doctor is like the opposite of being a NEET. Good luck to you if you stay on this course.
