R.I.P. /jp/

I thought it couldn't get much worse. I don't care how many people say /jp/'s gotten shit recently, or how it was never good. i would take all the massive legendary-quantity of /jp/ shitposting as of the last week, and little less after the split, than stupid cancerous-past-cancerous shit ever. Who cares about the troll the troll threads? We know here this stupid vile shit exists but as long as we didn't have it shoved on this board we don't mind.

It pains me to save this disgusting picture to my hdd, but maybe it'll be spread until, and if /jp/ gets better (get a strict mod upholding /jp/ values)

It's nice to see in the original thread that there are some actual /jp/ers left. And I thought /a/ was bad. /v/ and /b/ were nothing. Now this shit?
not even mad, infinite rage. i want my old jp back, with only 40% shitposting...not a new intergrated shitstain fanbase, which can't even be described with normalfag, memespouting conshit (not that the idea of cons is bad, but that most of the congoers are).

You weren't even fucking there you 500 pound piece of shit. It was actually pretty cool, and no one was lame or creepy. And the guest panel was awesome and such a great guy.

>> No.8824251

while they are pretty shitty threads full of fags, to blame the death of /jp/ over this bullshit is too much

>> No.8824255

The NSJ is awful. He loves RPGs, /soc/, /cgl/, and /r9k/ but he hates threads about programming and Japanese culture.

/jp/ is dead for me.

>> No.8824253

Because of those cosplay threads I literally hid everything that mentioned a lick of touhou. All that was left was the video game threads. Sad really, I'm going to hang out on /g/ and /a/ now and eventually get up off my ass and make my own site.

The fucking janitor doesnt know how to do his job right.

you're taking the internet too serious, dude

What will you do know OP will you take the dark path and learn the arts of shitposting?

Oh no, people on /jp/ actually have Otaku-related hobbies! How terrible.

>> No.8824281

/jp/ has always had a few cosplay threads after big conventions like these.
Thanks for proving for long you have been here, shitposting crew.

I find the NSJ spammers to be more of a threat to our board than a couple con threads that fade away in a weekend.
This is not the first time people have shared touhou cosplay in this board, you know. I'm not going to go look for the archived threads, but I remember at least a couple of these in 2009. And you know what, there were people like you back then too, complaining and wailing about how this meant the death of the board.

/jp/ is a board of many interests. Nobody likes all of them, so you hide what you personally dislike, focus on what you enjoy, and report the shitposting.

The only thing that is going to kill /jp/ is this stagnation. Nothing to discuss, attacking viciously anything out of an arbitrary zone of comfort. The more we attack ourselves, the faster we die off. It's been a slow process over the years and we're pretty bad right now, but maybe we can dust ourselves off and make this a decent board again.

So please, take it easy. You're overreacting.

Did you know that Tokiko was banned because of spammers making false accusations?

>> No.8824337

I JUST opened /soc/ so I could find some of their image macros and shit up /jp/ some to burn everything in rage, and I saw this.

https://boards.4chan.org/soc/res/10794096

This is who browses /jp/ now.

Tokiko was banned because he was an obnoxious avatarfag.

>> No.8824341

He was banned because someone was spamming "Ban Evasion" and the /mu/ mod believed the spammer.

tokiko invites people from other sites here and then i have to post lolicon and make them scared in their dicks so they leave

>> No.8824349

So, uh, you can't just hide the bad threads like it is of /jp/ custom and move on with the other threads you think are good?

>no one lame or creepy
normalfag.

>while they are pretty shitty threads full of fags, to blame the death of /jp/ over this bullshit is too much

its a bit personal, in the sense that this is an insult to glorious touhous, and i'm not even being asspie/austistic about this shit. it's just downright disguisting. this is a prime even GENERAL example of why western anime/manga fans are looked down on, they're called weeaboo's, NOT otaku. sure say no one can lay down rules on these sorts of things but without integrity to a non-shit board there's got to first be integrity to Touhou Project stuff itself, which is an amazing piece of work throughout fanworks and core works.

but yeah /jp/ - shitposting of godly levels, and weeaboo neo-posters

TOTALLY not the only thing to blame the status of /jp/ right now, or it's death on, this but this shit is just intolerable.

>>8824253
I wanted to do this too, but I'm full re-re on any sort of site running. I just don't have the time to to learn, but I would have time to moderate. The site tohno-chan.com or something has all the right boards in my opinion, and just enough, if not a little too much. However the place is a dumphole circlejerk, with a few alright threads here and there.

>>8824259
But /jp/'s the best (of the worst) place to discuss glorious 2hus and other stuff. ;_;

>>8824281
hey fag, this brings light to a mod who will hopefully do a good job (not insulting the one now, but really, if he just took advice/did stuff we'd be in a better place). i've been here a long time, and other threads weren't this bad.

I think that everyone on /jp/ should use these sites:

http://tohno-chan.com/
http://4-ch.net/
http://secretareaofvipquality.net/

No, those are the people in /soc/
I have never seen something like this here, don't be so dramatic
