I always liked this. However the corollary of this is that if we don't like something, we won't discuss it. The janitor seems to decide this for us. He deletes some QUALITY THREADs but not others. For example if I posted a picture of Alice and asked, "What kind of panties does Alice wear?" he'd leave it. However if I posted a thread about trains, he would remove it instantly. Who's to say that train thread wouldn't have been interesting? In the past, the train thread would have either gotten replies, had some good discussions, and then died peacefully; or it would have gotten a few ">>>/n/" and "This isn't what /jp/ is for"-type replies, then died peacefully. Right now, the janitor would decide WELP, THAT DOESN'T FIT MY VIEW OF WHAT I WANT /jp/ TO BE and delete it.

The janitors should uphold rules. That is, deleting rule-breaking posts. If something's iffy, leave it up to the community. We'll discuss things if we want to, and we won't if we don't.
