I'm not going to say whether I think it's bad or good, but is the stuff you've doing lately with low hair(and other) gradients experimentation? I was listening to some King Crimson for the first time in a while the other day, and I seriously wanted to cry and throw this piece away. It's gotten a bit bloated (over 15 minutes), yet it's not close to being finished, it's full of tripe, it's left me depressed. I don't know anymore...

Anyway, a lot of the parts have been reworked since the last time, and there are some new parts. I'd love it if I can get some proper feedback or criticism. For instance, I'm unsure about the transition at around 9:50 and around 11:55.

Well, my dilemma is this: When I do fairly normal-sized eyes like the right, I think the way I shade them looks fine, but when I do huge eyes like the left, it gets distorted something fierce. While I'm not exactly against doing more realistic eyes, I also don't see it being compatible with the way I color(unless you can link an example? I honestly can't think of a cel-cartoony style remotely like mine with eyes that are remotely realistic). I can pay attention to the lighting on eyes though, I admit I've been autopiloting the process for a while now.

Also, as a side note, the tone of your posts comes across as rather acidic(often one sentence too much). However you phrase your crit to me isn't going to affect how *I* view it, but I think you'd scare others off with the same nuance.

Because the highlights you use blend terribly with the rest of the eye, among other glaring issues. Look at the girl on the left. Is that just a circle of white airbrush? I'm assuming you use the same kind of highlighting method except much larger with your older pictures. Same with the one on the right. Is that just the star shaped inverted gradient? That's really lazy. Eyes can have such better detail. I'm also disliking the thin white outline on the inside edge of the eye. They seem to be done just out of obligation or something.

I'm curious to know how you color a glossy sphere with respect to proper lighting and reflection. Please paint a shiny orb.

While I do agree they can have much better detail, it is just animu. After a certain point of realism in eyes relative to everything else, I think the blending becomes just as poor. Again, I cannot think, off the top of my head, of an animu style with eyes akin to your picture that is not also realistic as a whole.

I noticed there is a lack of "original" content sometimes in these threads, so I drew something random a little while ago. This is my ORIGINAL DO NOT STEAL Touhou. I have deemed her Kamihana, either reading for Godflower or Paperflower both work for her name.

She is a being that is trapped on a single piece of enchanted parchment for some reason or another, but from time to time can leave the confines of the parchment and gain an actual human form. Also, she is a catgirl. As a piece of parchment she can bring anything drawn onto her into existence, albeit as a 2D drawn form, but as a humanoid, by drawing on parchment she can bring anything into existence with an actual shape relevant to the idea the person who drew it had in mind. Words work similarity with her parchment. They can also take form and shape in a similar manner depending on her form. Someday, when I am not shit, I will draw her humanoid form. Someday.

I literally just drew this because I wanted to post OC in the thread. I made up everything I just wrote above just now. I hope you can effectively welcome this as original content.

It was never my intention to be an attention whore by starting the threads. I draw a lot, so I post a lot, that's all. Sometimes there'd be several weeks without an OC thread these past months, so I figured I'd go ahead and make them. I know a lot of limelight gets thrown my way, but I assumed even with shitposts directed at me and other posters getting relatively ignored, having a thread up for people to post in was better than no thread, and thus no OC at all.

However, the maginigger spammer has directed enough attention at me that it's really starting to outweigh any positive aspect of the threads. I really wouldn't like to, as this is my home board and I'm very attached to it, but I think it's probably better if I just stop posting. There won't be any maginigger spammer/supporters, and people can just post their OC in peace.

I really have to apologize for how terrible the threads have been lately, but hopefully they'll clear up a bit now, even if there's victory residue posts from the maginigger spammer. Keep up the great work, /jp/. Let's make lots of original content!
