I got it recently too.

As far as quality goes, I'd give it 7/10. The figure looks damn fine from all angles and has great colouring, especially on her midriff. My only complaint is her mouth looking a little odd from most angles.

You might pay a hefty amount in printer ink, because all I did was print out a high rez image I got from moe using Posteriza, stuck it on 2 pieces of posterboard with photo mount, then stuck that on a big piece of foam board for support.

We had a kotatsu thread a while ago, too bad you missed it. Anyway, I live in Japanland so my kotatsu cost me $0 (I got both of mine for free from friends), but if you want to order one and have it shipped to the states it would be very very expensive. One site has them for sale:

Very pricey as you can see. As far as their worth/comfort, yes, it's worth it to me. Maybe not $500, but if I lost all my kotatsus I'd probably spend up to $200 or so replacing it. I spend most of the winter months under the kotatsu since it's just so nice. Imagine being in a mild hot tub, except it's more like a table and you're not wet.

Umm yeah... I do Photoshop on Mac with one and game on the PC with the other. Plus 2 cams... one Logitech you see there and one built into the iMac. ^_^ .. and that stack of CDs.. yeah mostly pr0n :P

The backup software that comes with the Seagate is my main attraction to their line. It is very stable and backed-up my powerbook for a good year or so without any problems. Hell I still have an image of it even though I gave it away so it's like I still have it :)

I've never even been in a store that sold boxed hdd's, they all only stock the OEM ones that come in a bit of sealed electrostatic bagging and that is it.

You like backup software, eh? Ever heard of bit torrent and warez? Oh well I guess it is no worse than buying boxsets of anime (or even getting the single volumes which work out to cost even more).

Anyway, I boot off of a 150gig Raptor and have 8 hdd's altogether. So besides the raptor there is the seagate 250gig, the seagate 320gig, a seagate and a samsung 750gig, and 4 x samsung 1tb in a RAID 0+1 array on a dedicated hardware raid card. The seagate 250gig is sitting there in a drive bay, unplugged, because there are not enough ports.

And I barely have 500gigs free altogether. DVDs are unreliable. I really should have bought a SAS controller they are like only 300-600 dollars, (I paid $250 for my SATA raid) and SAS expanders let you hook up a SHITLOAD of hdd's.

Unfortunately no camera...

I came. All I can say for myself is I have 250GB storage locally on this PC split between two hard drives, and one separate server with 4x250GBs.

Well I waste the money because I don't really download a lot. All the stuff I store is photography that I shoot and music I download. I'm done with the days of having a huge server storing gigs upon gigs of stuff that I will never have a chance to see. So yeah, backup software that came with the Seagate was nice, let it run at night and never have to worry if my book crashed. Your system sounds complicated and full of win but noisy as all fuck... with my line of work I need some peace and quiet when I get home, not more fans blasting.
