that game's so short. it feels like it has a lot of potential that Mozilla could have put in (at least leveling up and XP) that they didn't. since it's on github hopefully some nice people make a real, solid RPG out of it.

Well the whole point was to show that
a) You can make games without Flash (ZOMG NEWSFLASH)
b) HTML5 has some neat storage/transfer mechanics because HTML wasn't fat enough already.

It's pretty solid for what it is. There are a lot of cute little easter eggs and if they'd made a "proper" game, I would want to hit Mozilla for being weird.

Though as an aside the weapon/armor thing was a pretty clever mechanic. I couldn't see it working in a real MMO for obvious reasons, but it was a fun and simple alternative to grinding for experience points.
