Maybe I'm missing something but the VN was terrible. It had some fun ideas but the art was horrible (yes, this matters), the music was bland, and the story was overall uninteresting and predictable (though I did play it in English, so I'm happy to accept if things were lost in translation).

Tsukihime anime is okay it doesn't have the full cast of characters the VN does of course but it just focuses on Shiki and Arc so i'm okay with it ciel got a bit of screentime too

I am not sure what old anime you are talking about, the only type moon anime that I know about are FSN and KnK.
I dont believe Tsukihime actually even got an anime.

Carnival Phantasm itself is a huge cheap trash.

If I had to choose between two bad things, I suppose the generic animu style of Carnival is better than the egregious amounts of manface in the hypothetical anime.

But real Type Moon Arc is still unparalleled.

I liked Carnival Phantasm.
It embraced the fact that it was absolutely non-canon and ran with it. Not taking itself seriously at all, and not trying to adapt anything.

I have a big problem with adaptions because they all but never match up to the original production. By cutting loose and running free, I found Carnival Phantasm to just be an enjoyable series of gags.

The biggest problem of Carnival Phantasm is shitty design + shitty low tier humor.
I'd prefer to watch All Around Type-Moon anime adaptation and I wonder why didn't they pick it instead of Take Moon crap. AATM has official Drama-CD and manga adaptation.
