Originally, I was just thinking about making a tulpa for the sake of having another voice there, to make things a bit more interesting. It's kind of hard to think of my brain as a computer, so I wanted to try "programming" it and see where I could get. It was to be more of an experiment than anything.

After all, when I was like 14 or so, I lost interest in love, so I never really cared about having a "waifu" or whatever. Because I'm not lonely, I think that might make it difficult for me to make a tulpa... You really have to stick with it every day, so there needs to be a strong emotion there, I think. And I just don't have that emotional need.

But when I think about it, if there wasn't love, that would make the tulpa end up being nothing more than, essentially, a bit of AI. And that's kind of boring, in the end. I'd like to set my sights on a much bigger and grander goal than that. I want to create another person. It would be kind of like what a god does, except I would see them as being more of an equal to me. They should have their own emotions and everything.

In the first place, love in the 3D world would be more of a nuisance than anything. Because I have no experience in it at all, the chances of it not working out rise to essentially 100%. I can't relate to the 3D people I see at all anymore, so I can't see them as being the same type of animal that I am, and don't feel anything at all for them.

But if it's a tulpa, it might be fun to experiment with it. There wouldn't even be any need to care for them apart from giving them attention. Even if I don't manage to make a tulpa, I'll still learn a lot from the process. It would make me feel like a hermit or something. It's pretty much win-win, I think.

Why would I want to do that? Go outside and have to put myself through the misery of dealing with insufferable people?

The only person I truly love is myself. I am perfect in the way that I share everything in common with myself, I agree with myself about everything, and I know exactly what I like. Talking to or dating anyone but myself is just a very poor substitute for the perfect relationship that I really want.

When it really comes down to it the only sane options, unless you enjoy suffering, are to either date your clone or make a tulpa. It isn't yet possible to clone yourself though, so tulpa is the only option.

Seriously, what is the appeal of talking to someone that is different from you? They're going to have different opinions, disagree with you about things, etc. Every person is unique and so every relationship is a clash of personalities.

Why bother with all of that unpleasantness, conflict, and unpredictability? I would much rather talk to myself. Someone that I know shares all of my interests, loves everything that I love, and agrees with me about everything.
