Though it doesn't seem it when one is playing Touhou, a few characters in the series have had incredibly tragic backgrounds. Though some of the characters in Touhou have not had all their pasts explained.

I ask of you, which Touhou character is the most tragic heroine? Or at least, which Touhou character has had a legitimate emotion impact on you?

At the top of my head, the two who seem the most tragic is Hijiri Byakuren and Fujiwara (Huziwara) no Mokou.

Who is the most Tragic Touhou? Which ones have engaged you in a deep emotional level?

Reimu never had a proper childhood because she had to do shrine things. Her only proper friends have been a turtle (who probably died) and a witch who used to hate her.

>> No.8723141

I can't take Byakuren's story seriously because of that "young lady you're grounded for 1000 years" shit and Mokou doesn't give a shit about her tragic backstory anyway. Touhous are mostly happy-go-lucky.

I find Ibuki Suika to be rather tragic. I mean, she's a rare type. She loves humans, probably having many friends who are human, and friendly to every living thing. Yet in that old war she participated in, she was probably forced to kill humans. A type of person like her, that'd weigh much in her heart.

Then I wonder, why is it that she drink so much?

Yeah, being sealed away in hell for a thousand years sounds pretty silly when you put it like that.

But it can be returned. At the end of TH11, she "felt the lid on her 3rd Eye shift a little." It seems that she might be able to open it again.

She might even become able to open and close it at will. That would be pretty interesting.

seems like she just lost the ability to read minds and gained the manipulation of unconscious ability.

i don't know what you mean by losing her consciousness, since she seems to be conscious and walking around. i also don't know what the implications would be of sealing one's own heart. it seems extremely vague, and she seems like a happy girl in game

Not him, but at the very least, it's true that she does seem to act fairly normal in her Extra stage dialogue. It makes me wonder just what exactly does it mean to be able to act subconsciously?

>> No.8725245

>>8725240
"Gained ability to take action unconsciously" does not necessarily mean that she is ALWAYS unconscious, it may just refer to her stealth-like ability.
