Ok I don't know who else to ask so I guess I will ask you guys.

I'm interested In making a Japanese friend or two, and would like to go visit them when I head over there next year.

What recourses do you guys use to get your Japanese friends? I tried using some japanguide-friends website, but it expects me to pay some bullshit monthly fee just to send messages to people.

Cheers in advance.

Righto then, thanks for directing me mate. Sorry for wasting everyone's time.

Self sage to get it off the front page

Hmm. No sage available through the iPhone app. Fuck.

Not anime or manga, so no.

/jp/ is a clutter bag for supposedly /a/-"related" craptastica that isn't actually supposed to go anywhere, but that people are going to post anyway, just to be stupid.

So yeah, I'm certain there's already an equivalent if not identical thread on /a/ already, but it goes on /soc/ or /trv/ or here, not there.

>> No.8661746

Ok, just posted it on /a/. If they have any good advice I will repost it here for anyone else interested.

>>8661725

I'm not sure I can do that on the iPhone. Apple is a bit nazi when it comes to trying to do the simplest of tasks online.

/a/ loves Japan and Japanese people. They're the kind of people you see at anime conventions and in anime clubs. They'd know this topic better than /jp/.

Oh and, amusingly, OP pic is a screenshot from a video game called The Mirror's Edge, which is about ANARCHY!

RAWR!

xD

That's nowhere close to being true. Stop having such bizarre misconceptions of other boards.

>> No.8661772

Wow, /a/ is really hostile.

First I'm told to go back here

Then I'm told to use the site I'm already using

Then there's some random long arse winded troll going on about the difference between Chinese and kanji

I just want a cute Japanese friend who will be all excited when my plane lands.

If he wants an actual serious thread, and isn't just goofing around at a little bit of minor trollity, I'd just stick with /trv/

>>>/trv/

Last time I was in /int/ they might as well have made the board topic /bashing/ - My Country is Great, Yours Sucks!
Really juvenile, seriously.

Could try here, I've never done it myself though personally.
