It's better to start with a DDL, and do a torrent later. Yes, the DDL will be taken down quickly, but that's not the point. The only sensible use of that is case where seeder has to pay for outgoing traffic. In any case, it usually results in terrible speeds for the swarm.

You may want to try uploading to mediafire first, then uploading a torrent, and people will use the DDL host and then help you seed. Does anyone have an original DEARDROPS around? We need a screencap with filenames and filesizes on ISO to compare versions. Most of those 1.93GB should be files that didn't change during translation (assuming MG didn't port it to another engine), so maybe just a couple of files will be enough to make an "English patch". So I've downloaded the Japanese one (faster than I thought, by the way). It works with a cracked .exe from KiraKira Curtain Call (v1.492.1; the one on the ISO is 1.494.0, both are 1.69-compatible).
Having looked through the archive, I can say that crack will need another file, data01000.arc (it's <2MB). So when someone uploads the game, s/he should upload the separate archive with BGI.exe, data01000.arc and sys*.arc files, around 10MB total. This should let hacker(-s) start working on the .exe without downloading all of 2GB.
