I was going to play FFVIII, but then I watched Spoony's review of it.

The biggest problem with 8 is the level scaling. Want to blaze through the game? Just card enemies, until you get no encounters and OHKO all the bosses with your junctioned stats. And as you might imagine grinding for levels is counterproductive, obviously. Which is retarded as that's kind of what you do in JRPGs if you're having difficulty.

I still like 8 more than the other games in the series for some reason. To tell the truth I loved the games when I was 14 but I don't think I could stomach playing through them again, except for 5 which is incredibly simple and badass.
