Probably not. It's an approximation, so I'd guess they just size the raw file dump, formatting and all. Another slightly more reliable way estimate the size of VN's is by counting actual line numbers. TLwiki has done this for a number of games, see:

Koihime is actually a pretty big deal, not for the title, but for future titles.

It means they don't need to worry about content for selling hard copies on J-List, which is important because they will surely be looking at J-List for deciding future releases if it is doing well for them. That said, it is also important for them because of voices, it lets them go ahead with the same strategy in the future, because they followed through. Unless they are making surprisingly good money off of J-List, getting the voices will almost surely be at a loss, however it shows they follow through with their promises, which lets them pull similar things again in the future (which would be bad, except voices would always be put back in by fans, and they can get a title for cheaper with lower licensing costs).

It's not his fault that it was leaked to the public(that's yours for making such hilarious mistakes.) And hopefully it'll motivate you to go through and be more attentive to what you wrote.

I would also highly recommend getting an editor and even a TLC because you really need one. Probably won't go over well with most people since it would delay the release and most people don't care about their translations, as long as they get them. But if you care about the game at all, at least take it into consideration.

Here's something I made a while back for something I was working on. It's not 100% what you asked but it should help a bit. It will split a 0.txt into multiple subfiles (using the * label markers as filenames). If your game is nicely labeled then it will split it up by sections nicely. Modify the __compile.bat to either remove the copy line or change "Path\To\Game\Folder" to whatever path you want to copy the 0.txt to. If it doesn't work then you're out of luck.
