Possibly. I might have grown a tumor in my brain but I wouldn't know because I don't ever go outside to get myself checked.

I think it would be better not knowing, anyway.

>> No.8548564

I lost a lot of weight and I was pretty skinny to begin. Also I hear my heart bumping and whenever the doorbell rings I fell like I'm literally getting a heart attack.

>> No.8548576

I have severe atrophy in both legs due to bad blood flow and inactivity. Often, when I need to get off the chair, I realize that both my legs have gone completely limp. The doctor told me that if I don't change my lifestyle, I will be stuck in a wheelchair within 20 years.

I don't plan to live that long, so I don't care anyways.

>> No.8548589

I've had very dark purple/black skin around my toenails for a few years now, it only appears after I've been sitting or standing for more than 30 minutes, so the doctor assumed it was bad blood flow due to bad exercise. Of course, he couldn't guarantee it because I contacted him by phone and he couldn't be sure without seeing me in person. It took me all my courage to even call him to begin with, so I still haven't made a proper appointment.

How can you tell if you're actually suffering from atrophy? I mean I practically live my life laying in bed, 20hrs laying in bed per day getting up only to eat and shower. I don't even use my chair any more, but if I get up I can still do weighted exercises.

I'm far from muscular and my family members often comment on how I look like I'm about to fall over and die, but that's not actually true. If anything I'm the technically strongest family member.

I don't have a car and live in the city, so I usually walk 2 or more hours every other day while getting food or running errands.

Cost of living is usually higher in the city.

The "safer" (non lower class) suburbs are all just as expensive because rich WASPs live there, driving up property values.

I always assumed that when most people on /jp/ say they're skinny they actually mean they're skinny fat. I mean, wouldn't an abrupt change in diet (by not leaving the house anymore, losing appetite) result in muscle loss rather than losing lots of fat?

My health has declined across the board.
And the worse it gets the less inclined I am to do anything about it.

Also, starving is a bad way to lose weight. Your metabolism will stay practically shut down for a long time, we're talking years here, so the second you start eating regularly you'll inflate so quickly you might almost pop.

I wish it was that easy.

After starving myself for several years I still find it very difficult to gain weight. Then I realized how much money was needed to spend to eat that much and stopped. Back to starving.

>> No.8548733

Actually, I'm in better health today than I've been in awhile.

I make it a point to go running after it's dark to minimize the number of people who see me and I make it a point to eat healthy when I sneak downstairs to get food so I don't run into my parents.

When you say stave, do you mean like one pack of ramen a day? Or just going a little hungry?

If you only intake that tiny amount for a few months your metabolism will slow the fuck down in emergency mode to conserve energy. Sure you have to put up with being unable to fight even the common cold, let alone nastier bugs, and will spend 18 hours a day asleep, and the other six in bed, but hey think of the savings you get on food.

When I say starve, I mean up to 1000 calories every 20-30 hours or so. The funny thing is I'm not actually starving or hungry, I just can't eat a lot. I'm sometimes surprised by how not hungry I am after 20 hours of nothing.

Depends where.

If you live in a shitty or lowclass areas in a small apartment, living can be quite cheap. However cost of food and such will be more expensive. I live in an apartment right on the edge of where the nicest area meets the worst area of the city. So it's safe yet cheap. I like to take walks through the nice area because it is beautiful and full of nice mansions and fancy gardens. Sometimes I like to fantasize about maids that may live in those mansions and what it would be like if I lived in one. City also matters. Like New York is going to be expensive but different cities are cheaper. I live in Pittsburgh, not too expensive.

Expensive groceries can be avoided by shopping at ethnic grocers. There is actually a Japanese grocer near where I live that sells cheap vegetables and basics, I love going there. There is also a Korean, Indian, and Middle Eastern grocer near me, which all have very cheap food. The main grocery store is in the rich area, and everything is expensive there.

Cities are great for NEETs or hikikomoris if you ask me. Everything is close by in walking distance, don't need a car, lots of places to go and explore, you can go on nice walks, and there is the illusion of having a lot of people nearby so you don't go insane.

I think that explains why I weigh so little. It's because of muscle atrophy. I am litteraly going to have muscles like a sloth as in delicate ribbons.

I remember one winter as I was shoveling snow for a couple of mornings I noticed I gained a lot of weight and I thought I was getting fatter but it was indeed the muscle I once had but now they are gone again.

I wish I could keep muscles. what if a burgler comes and tried to kill me? all I could to is throw my tissue like self at him and hope for the best
