I started playing 3 days ago. I'm still pretty shit tier, but I'm able to take games off of people that were scoring perfects against me 3 days ago. You need to play against people to get better. That's the bottom line. When I started off I can remember doing 15 hit combos in practice mode consecutively for hours that I simply could not reproduce in a real game.

Just try to focus, be patient, and make a conscious effort to learn from your mistakes.

I still remember when some guy ended up going random against me. I was pretty wounded but I kept playing. Just keep playing as long as people are willing to stay in the game and let you practice.

I play half moon groove akiha tohno. there are very few guides available on her half-moon style, but my issue seems like more of a general execution problem then anything specific to a character. You say you're new, but it's absolute overkill to be doing 50%+ damage combos off every hit on someone who isn't even nailing 25% damage combos. The only combo you ever dropped, and rarely, was the extension on Sion's crescent kick loop. Being near flawless at two character's 50%+ damage combos definitely means you're not a beginner.

You've got to take it gradual. You can't just destroy a new player time and time again without giving them any time to breath and expect them to learn anything. The matches go on a lot longer if you don't do max damage off every hit, allowing the new player to make mistakes and try again. A good player will do the same things over and over until the new guy starts adapting, and then start adding in mix up.

I was mostly trolling, I like to poke fun at people, but it's still somewhat true. Kouma actually has great reversals and if you stagger too much, you're just going to get dunked. Even without meter, his 22a is pretty good (depending on how big of a gap you leave, I'm not too sure of the frame data on that, I don't play Kouma).

That's why I tend to switch to my main when playing new players if I can't punish adequately with my alt. Letting them get away with stupid shit is a lot more damaging to their gameplay than just raping them over and over again. With the rape, they'll eventually realize they should stop mashing on wakeup, mashing out of strings, etc.

Not really. They'll still be eating damage and losing, just not as fast. I don't see how destroying over half their lifebar teaches them better than only doing a quarter of their lifebar. You probably just want to feel like a really good player in that case.

Don't ever bother with H moon DP you're asking to get punished horribly on a stable connection. Never soku unless you're going to reset at the end of a pressure string and be sure to stay out of range. Only tk his air lighting more and use his arc lighting for frame traps and tec punishes especially his EX when someone is in the air.

Whatever, my point was that it's better for a beginner to get completely assreamed and not be content with their shitty play while playing other shitty players. I used to play FT5s against jiyuna every single day during MBAC days. I couldn't even get a round back then and everything I did would get shielded. That helped me a lot more overall with my game than just beating on similar low level players.

I wasn't the one who joined, so I'm not trying to defend myself, just trying to tell you that getting raped isn't as bad as you seem to think, especially considering your posts after that said that it wasn't completely one-sided and that you won some games...
