Has /jp/ ever stolen anything? My professor has bookshelves filled with old IC catalogs and some textbooks scattered through them, which I snatch away. I've taken five books and a manual.

>> No.8474342

Why did you steal them, do you need them do you even use them?

>> No.8474352

I don't know if it counts but one time I forgot my wallet at home and had to climb a fence to get into the train station without paying.

>> No.8474356

Stealing is for faggots that weren't raised right.

However, I have caused a hundred million billion imaginary dollars in damage through piracy.

>> No.8474359

The closest thing to stealing that I have ever done is not telling the cashier when I saw that I had been undercharged 20 cents.

I second this. I think I stole a toy car from a friend when I was six. Felt bad for years.

I borrowed my Super Mario World to some arab dude once. Later when I wanted it back, he denied that I ever gave it to him.

Asshole.

Yes, I cannot afford most of the texts and they'd just sit there otherwise. Seems like a waste to NOT steal them.

>> No.8474372

I borrowed a GBA from my childhood friend and haven't got around to returning him cause we lost contact.
Still feel bad about it.
I ended up lending it to someone else and it disappeared somewhere between multiple exchanges.

If you know where he lives, it's not too late. Even if not, there are ways to find out. IMO, you can't let him get away with it even if it's decades later.

You could make this the first step to overcome that issue. Think about for how long this has bothered you. Think about how satisfactory it would be to end this story and have closure. You have to do it.

what end? I'm not mad about the games anymore, I just disliked the attitude of those kids. What use would it be to track them down today and eat a punch by angry arabs.

I guess you just don't get it. Forget it.

I used to have an obsession with stealing street signs. I had a DMV manual showing all the street signs there were and each time I got one I'd cross it off the list. Once I got all of them I started going after ones with street names on them. I even got one of the school zone signs with lights on it that flash in the mornings. I kept them all in a gully I hung out in all the time and then one day when I went back there someone had stolen them all.

IC = Integrated Circuit catalogs? Those with every 74xx on it? You didnt need to steal it, you have it on the internet for free.

But yeah, I stole sometimes. I once stole the work of a classmate, and made it mine. Shit was so cash...

I didn't steal those, I stole the textbooks that were on the same shelf as them.
Amazingly some even look new.

I'm not going to make a new thread for this.

Long story short, I met someone from /a/ today. He asked me what boards I go on. When I said /jp/ he said "well, I don't need to find out anymore about you then."

The thing I found funny about this was that he was more socially awkward than I was, in that I was quiet and kept to myself when he made an embaressment out of himself trying to be normal.

It was still a disturbing experience.

Sounds like either he was kidding in his socially awkward way and you missed the joke or he has class S autism. But then again so do you probably so it all works out.

I used to be the master of my old school's observatory. I gradually nicked filters, weights and oculars worth around a thousand dollars, there was no organized inventory and everyone trusted me with the items.

I still have the key if I want to get some more, many years later.

>> No.8474532

I once stole a skateboard from a girl when she left it unattended. I still feel bad about it. What I did was very inconsiderate, very callous, and very wrong.

>> No.8474597

I steal stuff from work all the time, usually rare woods and diamond tool bits because work and the grocery store are the only places I go out side. If I went to a hardware store I wouldn't be able to muster the courage for the miniscule social interaction of asking where I could find something. I would stutter and get looked at funny and run away.

Ohh wow.. I just threw out like a dozen of my old Motorolla blue books (Fast & LS TTL, etc). I found them in an old pile of books, as well as some old PIC 16 series microcontroller reference books.
