What youa re doing is the opposite of cherry-picking.

You're actually looking at people who read it when it was translated, found it shit and put effort into making everyone know about their opinion instead of the people who played it untranslated, found it good or good enough, still find it so, but aren't talking about it anymore because they played dozens of other games in the meantime and discussed it to death already.
