I pretty much died instantly there on my last playthrough.

Assassin girl A froze me and then B did the one hit kill.

What are some other games where you have a brother-sister pair running around besides this and Tactics Ogre?

Other games where you have a little sister that isn't Fatal Frame 2 is fine also.

The only bad thing about TO is that the game basically begs of you to exploit. Case in point the archers in the game are absolutely hilariously overpowered and you can easily plow through the game with just a team of them.

Original Tactics Ogre was a fucking chore. You had to grind because if you were THREE FUCKING LEVELS BEHIND you made what amounted to no damage (And if you were three levels above you basically raped everything).

And the worst part is that the grinding relied on the shitty training system.

Original tactics ogre could be pretty retarded.

Bitches don't know about TacticsOgre protect missions.

For example, you can't finish the game once without having played this stage at least 5 times.(Protect Cistina)

There is nothing more frustrating when the A.I that you want to protect keeps leaving the safety of your party and going solo against the enemy only to die.

I did, it was pretty cool till I got to that one stage with 3 archers, 2 knights, and 2 wizards. You should know the one.
Anyways, I left it there because I had already spent a week trying to pass it and had other games to play.

>> No.8452108

>>8452090
Yeah. As someone who beat FFT like 10 times, I thought it'd be a lot of fun to try it.

It really wasn't.

It's playable early on, just really hard, like what you would expect from it, but it quickly devolves into stupid exploiting to grind without grinding.

Like, if you really grind, the AI levels a lot faster than you and their gear gets exponentially better, so you can't grind exp at all. If you fuck up at all and overlevel someone by using him too much, you will also be completely fucked and the missions will become unbeatable regardless of what you do... so you have to do stupid shit to get only JP, like going on easy maps, trapping one guy and constantly hitting a lvl 1 character on your team and then ressing him so you gain no exp but still normal jp.

It's just a really boring grind that doesn't require skill, which is kind of sad.

I don't remember the exact numbers but it's something like, the enemies are always (your char with the highest level) + 2~5.

The main problem, however, is their gear. They don't follow the normal gear progression, past a certain point they get endgame items even if you're on a normal mission.

I don't know how bad it gets, really, I gave up on the Algus fight after my 50th try over a week, but I truly believe that was impossible without MASSIVE jp grinding.

Have you tried LFT? It's another FFT hack, but much less retarded than 1.3.
Among other things, it adjusts what soldier types the enemy fields. I thought it was fun fighting enemies that weren't knights for a change.

been through this before

having trouble? just follow these easy steps

-have at least 2-3 red chocobos in party before this level(lvl 70 should be best for they get first turn real fast)
-drop choco meteor on Elmdor's head on their first turn(each choco meteor damages at least 600+)
-battle over, you win

its that simple

>> No.8453694

I should play Chaos route sooner or later to get Cressida. Playing with a generic necromancer and a few skeleton guys was a fucking blast.
