Is it weird that I find the background of YU-NO far, far more stimulating to my imagination than any more recent VNs? I am just transported to that world when I play that game, but reading other VNs, even more interactive ones like Rance, or more intense ones like Tsukihime, and I'm just not "there". Something about those old graphics just hits the imagination sweetspot.

How much more do the characters get built up in Unlimited or Alternative? I'm actually not disliking Extra as much as I felt I would, but the characters are less than paper thin. I'm on Ayamine's route, and she's still the same lolrandum girl she ever was, even though it's now bringing in the identity of the guy at the hospital (her dad, I'm guessing).

It just means that you shouldn't send him mail when given the option to send or not send. In a lot of cases, it will end up being sent anyway a few lines later, but it apparently makes a difference that you didn't jump at the first chance.

Comparing the 90's eroge to the 00's eroge isn't very fair.
In the 90's eroge sold a lot more, titles like Nonomura, Dokyousei, etc... sold in the 500k.

If you talk about the 00's then it's between Air and FSN.
Air sold a bit more on its first year and both titles had really successful all ages releases, they are also the type that still sell even after a few years

It depends on what you mean by evolution. Story eroge originated from sex-driven eroge, but they didn't fully replace them. I think that still constitutes an evolution.

I feel that's an exaggeration. Within eroge there's a continuum of ero:story ratio and while some games fall on one end or the other there are also a lot that lie at varying points in between.

リアル妹がいる大泉くんのばあい was kind of easy if I remembered correctly, and its not too long.

Then again, I played a lot of nukiges before that particular game. Nukiges do tend to be pretty simple being non plot-driven, I got a lot of practice on mundane everyday dialogues and variations/slangs of writing simple things that usually skull-fucks machine translations. Thank god I got my Japanese reading level up quite a bit, its made a world of difference in VN appreciation.

It's divided into 3 parts.
There is an after story for the "kill Hikaru" bad end that show how Kageaki ends up destroying the world and then get transported into universe that follow the end of Muramasa's route, so the route ends with Muramasa vs Muramasa
It's not bad, there is also an ero scene for Subaru-sama

The second story is basically a joke scenario about the cast of Muramasa making a hollywood movie.
It's actually really funny and has a lot of Hikaru.

The third story is about Kanae doing what she does best, this story has a new cast.
