2D isnt really 2D. Ever play a cell shaded game? 2D would be a perfect cell shaded world. That is to were you could not at any point get the impression that you are looking at a 3D object but you could always see all angles of an object.

This would be pretty good. Notice how hot Suwako is in this video and how all the tits look like bags of wet sand. This is a very accurate representation of breasts while keeping the whole 2D/3D cartoony style.

It's very easy to have 3d where faces/characters look considerably less "3D" than that. See Pretty Cure's EDs animations as an example.

In the end it's all 2d anyways(until you get to holograms), the only difference is what draws it unless you think humans are magical creatures. Hell, any 2d image exists in 3d in the mind of the artist that draws it, where else would depth and other artistic techniques come from? The important thing is that it's not bound and does not try to resemble reality(I'm talking about you, Poser).

I've been playing minecraft recently to slowly accustom myself with the third dimension. Hopefully, I will be fine.

Took a look at it a second ago and realized that just "pretty cure ed" returns some fairly atrocious examples, so I'll clarify that I am referring to the recent EDs, Wonderful Powerful Music and Kibou Rainbow. I don't like Pretty Cure or the way they draw their stick-figure girls, but that style of 3d character art seems workable.
