Discuss how bored you are, why you are so bored, and your latest treatments for boredom.

It should also go without saying that this is a NEETs-only thread.

I'm bored because I do nothing but sit inside on the computer, yet my computer -- a laptop -- isn't good enough to play any games. Not even Touhou/most VNs.

I've found that working my ass of to get motivated to learn programming has helped with the boredom, but it's rare that I can build up that motivation. I spend a lot more time sleeping just to pass the time, these days.

I think this about everything. Today I worked out that I've probably spent thousands of pounds on energy drinks. Had I saved the money instead, I'd be healthier and have a nice sum of money to build a computer with. Unfortunately that's not how the real world works--I'd have spent it on something else, probably equally unhealthy.
If 4chan didn't exist, I'd probably just settle on some other forum.

>>8419137
I know how you feel. Though I have a desktop computer but it's almost ten years old. I want to learn programming too, but I really lack the motivation and five minutes into any book or tutorial and I start to fall asleep and get very frustrated with myself. In fact it's so common I've started to find the frustration thing kind of a turn-on. So I've actually read books like SICP and K&R, then fapped to how my brain simply wouldn't absorb the information in them.

I'm more of a freeter than a NEET these days, but I feel that this still applies to me since I'm still bored a whole lot.

I can get pretty bored to the point where I just pace around the house for hours, with thoughts racing about what I should do, but can't or won't. I get this bored because I still live with my family in a rural town. To cure this boredom, I can go out for a walk, go to the mall, go to the local university, work on a computer game with RPGMaker2000, work on my writing, or drink a bit of alcohol. Guess which one usually wins out.
