I used to have good internet friends when I raided in WoW a few years ago. Then we started to drift apart as the months go by. Now I don't know why I bother having Windows Live or Steam up...nobody sent me a message in a long time

I had some nice people in my WoW guild, but once I quit, I never heard from them again.
I'm too awkward to make friends in the online games I play these days.

I'm very active at some communities and forums, but I never seem to make any friends at all. People somehow start using IM, going to other websites together, playing games etc but I'm always left behind. I suddenly start seeing how people mention stuff that's nowhere in the boards and I feel betrayed. I feel totally ignored, like I'm just noise in the background ;_;
This happens to me even in /jp/, which is by far the most compatible with my personality. But at least here, I can partially blame anonymity. It's impossible anyone would reach to me when nobody can tell me apart. When I'm on a normal community, I can't help but keep wondering why nobody likes me ;_;

But because of that I can be pretty clingy with them and I worry they see me as a burden, even if they assure me otherwise. I've met a few people from /jp/.

Some just randomly removed me after adding me for one or two days and never talked.

One guy was excessively unfriendly and made sarcastic and rude remarks everytime I made a tiny mistake in a videogame.

Another one talked a bit, then just told his friendcircle to harass me and removed me. I seriously have no idea why he did it.

Two of them didn't like me because I enjoyed touhou and didn't watch their generic highschool girl animes.

The worst one was a tripfag. Terrible grammar, spouting memes and always a dick to everyone else when we were playing games together.
