I lived most of my life as an only child. I am independent and do not need anyone else for comfort or assurance. I actually prefer to be alone rather than live in a stuffy nosy house full of people. I have and never will feel the need to talk to people or need to interact with someone in real life.

People who like being alone are usually the people with friends who think "being alone" means not spending time with friends for a day or two.
