I have been, and it's been really sad, because I did leagues better with Aya with no Wiki lookup, little time spent on her deck, little time spent in practice with her and just very basic combos (hell, I was practically button-mashing) than the Reisen I had spent weeks playing, studied up on on the Wiki several times and has crafted a deck with meticulously.

Abba...whatever kind of strategy that was, it was so weird that...well, it worked. Against Komachi, it wasn't such a problem, because I play defensively with her, but when I started using Reimu...I'm sure you saw how many times you got a counter hit in a row on me with the increased melee from Alice, and the spot you picked to BE is pretty ingenious, and would always work if I didn't have mines on me. You even managed to stop my pressure altogether in several places. I don't think there was even one time where I had you locked down for very long. It was such a strange style of play that I started acting erratically myself, thinking I could punish you with a reversal 623, only to get kicked over and over until I decided to stop it. It's hard getting that shit off on a keyboard, but even then her reversal just sucks. What you were doing was working, and working well at that. I started to adapt further along, but it was still a lot harder to defeat you for whatever reason. Hopefully next time I'll have come up with something that will stop that from being such a nuisance.

Just one question. Did you start doing that specifically to counter my Reimu?

I've said it before that the better my opponent plays, the better I play. There's just that extra something that makes me play oh-so-much better when my opponent has a threatening level of skill. Compared to the very first time we fought, would you say you've fared better or worse? Not including the mashing you just did. A lot of the time I feel like I'm not improving at all, but when it really matters, I can tell I'm doing better, thinking smarter. Reassuring yourself that you're getting better can only help.

I realize I'm predictable - I don't know how to mix things up. Reisen doesn't exactly give you a lot of options, though, especially when I feel like I'm inputting 236 and getting 623 and vice versa (though this happens a lot more with Aya). Limited options combined with not even being able to execute what you have properly is a recipe for failure.

I want you to play Reisen so you can figure out how to fix everything that's wrong with her. She need anti-air BADLY. You saw how many times you were able to airdash in at head level and smack me. I never did anything about it because there's nothing she *can* do.

She could also use a proper air game, as her j.5A is total ass and gets outprioritized by absolutely everything ever.

She could also also use a 214BC and a 22BC that aren't totally worthless.

She also also also needs pressure. Wong keeps telling me she has a good pressure game and the more I play her the more I think he's full of it. Her melee range is shit, her 236BC is crazy slow, and nothing else she does has any sort of pressure attached. Once her opponent gets the upper hand in the initial confrontation (which they will), she's forced on the defensive for the entire rest of the match, and she'll never recover.

And I don't know how you're falling for any illusions, as the center bullet is the real one 100% of the time. The only thing the illusions are good for is her UltraViolet alt 214, which is useless anyway because no one's stupid enough to get caught in it.

Oh, and she could also also also also use an alt skill card that's actually good. Everyone you played with has at least one stellar alt skill that you were able to abuse to no end. Reisen doesn't have any. AA Flash alt 623 is decent but grazeable, making it nothing more than 214C with less startup, and the rest are total shit.

UltraViolet alt is 623, sorry.

This is all Reisen venting anyway. My problems with Aya result from a shoddily-constructed deck, little work put into her, and my own general ineptitude, all of which are my fault and can only be fixed by myself.

Reisen's inadequacies are pretty much all built in to the game, and it's an irritating way to treat one of my favorite characters who hasn't caught a single break canonically. She lives with overly abusive housemates, she sucks in PoFV, she's dumb as bricks and gets little to no attention in SSiB and she gets the most powerful opponents Gensokyo has to offer thrown at her in this game. Giving her an all-around shit moveset was completely unnecessary.

You can chain 3 of them before hitting 100% limit. It will do 3,000 damage (at level 1); arguably the easiest 3k damage in the entire game for only 3 orbs.

GGs Jetm. I am glad I got a good opponent. First challenge to overcome is absolutely zero grazing attacks, not even one on dash. But if you can force your opponent to block she can smash and a lot of spellcards can crush and deal damage with as many as 3 orbs up, which is nice. Bubble can be grazed, which sucks, but it is very useful against some characters.

I can't figure out why I got hit by the giant explosion when I was Suika. Forward dashes are supposed to link together... As for your Patchy, If you want guard crush, try using the Spellcard that makes crystals float around her. Very nice for pressure, as it sends projectiles homing in on the opponent every time you use a different skill.

The explosion lasts forever and you're grazing and expending spirit. If the opponent is at 2 spirit orbs or less the move is pretty much guaranteed damage. Patchy in the corner can do AA B C 236C Royal Flare and it is guaranteed damage if the opponent blocks from 5 orbs. If you get alt skillcards up (the buzzsaw, the knives do ok too) she can do almost 4 spirit orbs with a single string in the corner without a spellcard. But the problem is she can be grazed out on and she has no physical followup to make the opponent think twice. And no dash attack that grazes (and her dash B can be grazed.)

They can be chained if they're cornered, it hits upwards, so the link into one another.
Couldn't you 5AA 5B 236C 236C 236C? Worked in practice for some 2700 dmg, don't know if it'll work on someone relentlessly trying to get out of it, but they seemed to chain fairly well.

If you want to chain three, you have to fire them from across the screen and hope your opponent screws up. The daring alternative is to do it point blank to a cornered opponent, but the slow startup will likely get you smacked with a 5A.
