There are stores with self-checkouts. You just walk in, scan your things, put them in a bag next to it that weighs them, then swipe a card or something. There will be other people around, but you don't have to talk to them if you don't want to. Try not to get too close to any employees or they will ask you how you are today. It's usually policy.
